They offered 10mil in January, they will offer more in the summer.

He's earmarked as Cole's replacement. Plus the kid is a huge Blues fan(and dreams of playing at the Bridge), which is nice.

Quality player, what does this mean for Bertrand?

I think they'll hang onto him as depth for as long as he's happy to do it. He's pretty versatile so he's not just a left back. Plus if we did get Shaw he'd be loaned back for at least a season.

Saw him a few nights ago when we played them. Very impressive and only 17 I think. Should have a bright future ahead of him.

Rodgers was at Feyenoord v PSV to watch 21 year old Dutch CB and Feyenoord captain Stefan De Vriij in action. Reports are that we're after either him or Lyon's 23 year old Croatian CB Dejan Lovren to replace the retiring Jamie Carragher. Martin Kelly will also continue to be groomed to provide cover at CB (his natural position) as well as at RB.

Read an article this morning saying we also had scouts watching him last week. I think it will depend on what happens with Colocinni at the end of the season as to whether we follow up our reported interest.

In other news, Liverpool are supposedly looking at Hatem Ben Arfa and Arsenal and Man U are checking on Cabaye. Can't see either move happening though thankfully :thumbsu:

shaw signed a 5 year deal like a month ago.
He can't sign a senior contract until he is 18, which he turns in July.

If South stay up I think he'll stay until Cole retires, but if they go down he'll join us now and be loaned out. That's my feeling on it anyway.

Any spurs supporters able to tell me what to expect with Harry Kane?

We've loaned him out for the rest of the season I believe
I like him.. He's one of these ones who banged them in from all corners for our Under 18s etc, and impressed on loan last season. He went to Norwich this season (I guess it shows we have belief in him if he goes out to another PL club like Walker, Caulker etc) but had injuries.

Wayne Rooney signed when he was 17, it's rare but it does happen.

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has attempted to head off a backlash from fans after new figures confirmed that the club have a cash pot of £123.3million.
Hill-Wood insisted the club’s board are aware of the need to win trophies despite the latest accounts showing large interim profits based on the sale of their best players.
He warned shareholders that the ‘self-sustaining’ model was here to stay as the Gunners recorded pre-tax profits of nearly £17.8m for the six months to November, yet claimed the club remained ambitious on the pitch.

The latest figures include the sales of Robin van Persie to Manchester United for £24m and Alex Song to Barcelona for £15m. Figures for 2011 showed pre-tax profits of £49.5m, which included the sales of Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy.
Arsenal’s property portfolio is performing well, and as well as the massive cash reserves, there is a new Emirates partnership worth up to £150m over the next five years and an improved TV deal about to kick in this year.
They also charge among the highest ticket prices in the country but have not won a trophy for eight years.

And that in a nutshell sums up Arsenal.

Nani may be set to leave United after he reportedely rejected a new contract work 90k a week. If he wants to leave then so be it because he is not worth the trouble if he only puts in a handful of good performances a season. We could probably squeeze 20mil out of Anzhi or someone for him.
In saying all this I want him to stay because our wingers of been dire this season. Young and Valencia have been shocking and Kagawa is still getting used to the league. Welbeck has even had to be used on the wing because of this

anji look likely to qualify for the champions league and will have to fall into line with ffp regulations like the rest of us. the days of being able to ship a misfit over to russia seem to be quickly coming to an end unless they have some massive sponsor lined up. zenit might be a safer option with possibly hulk leaving and having gazprom as their major sponsors (also a champions league major partner fwiw)

I don't think Nani would be welcome at Zenit for some reason

players dont run the club. hulk, alves and witsel aren't exactly the whitest.

if nani wants to be booed by those disgusting ****wits and be treated like a dog by those pigs is another question. zenit might be the club that have the fans that have said it, but it's prevalent with any black players. roberto carlos and samba having banana's thrown at them, etc.

One of the best posts I have ever read.:thumbsu:

40mill + Nani for Bale.

I wouldn't pay that much for him but it has been reported that some clubs are offering that much for him.
Maybe you could just offer him to Madrid in a straight swap for Ronaldo.

Scored for his home debut this morning against Blackburn.

If he helps us get promoted I will stop hating Tottenham (hypothetically until you smash us 5-0 or something like that :p).

Looks like he could form a lethal partnership with Chris Wood.

I wonder if he will attract any interest from PL clubs. We bought him from WBA and has banged in 9 goals in 9 games. I reckon he could be a star in the future.
