I wonder how many players have played at the top level in France, Italy, England and Spain

Beckham and Henry come to mind

deschamps, blanc, davids, kluivert, pannuci are some others that come to mind.

i want to say john carew too.

cavani hasn't signed for psg YET.

the fee still needs to be agreed with napoli. that's the same situation that we're apparently in with cavani. psg will most likely offer his release clause, we won't.

According to one of the tabloids Cavanis preferred EPL destination was Chelsea, but we've put all our eggs in the Falcao basket.

Chelsea "on the verge of securing a 46 million quid deal for Falcao, on a 200,000 quid/week contract", according to DM. He's a player i can't see flopping.

Gomez scored 24 goals in his first 71 games for Stuttgart, 14 goals in his first 45 games for Bayern and 5 goals from his first 21 games for Germany.
His goalscoring record for all teams becomes unquestionably impressive from those points and is definitely a very good player, but hes been a slow starter in the past. It would be interesting to see how a slow start would go down at Chelsea whose supporters turned quite quickly on Shevchenko and Torres after they made a slow starts. They obviously never recovered from that.
Would be a great signing though I reckon, Chelsea are only an upgrade on Torres and Mikel away from having an amazing first 11.

Also I think this is good news in a way for United as Lewondowski wants to leave and I can't see 2 of Dortmunds best players being sold to their biggest rivals

The question is does united really need another striker though. I mean we already have vp Rooney welbeck and Hernandez unless one is Def going I don't see how we'd fit lewie in

I think Nani and Anderson will be sold and Scholes will retire. Rooney should go permanently to CM and we sign one more in maybe Strootman or Thiago (wishing). Welbeck will go to the wing and we have Lewandowski RVP and Hernandez as strikers.

Surely if United are in a need of a winger and a CM it would make more sense to go out and buy a winger and a CM, rather than buying a striker and moving 2 current strikers to CM and a wing?

What we still need to add though is another two midfielders including a dmf and another defender

Would love to poach isco or gaitan for cheap but probably won't happen

Gomez plays for Bayern who've averaged 3 goals per game in the Bundesliga this season. Atletico hasn't even managed 2 per game. That would help.
