the current rumour is that we've agreed terms with cavani and cash + dzeko would be fine, it's the cash aspect that's holding up the deal.

Be very happy with that for two reasons. Cavani in, and Dzeko not to Chelsea.

completely different position to nasri.

more like garcia and possibly barry out, fernandino in.

You trying to tell me, we are dropping two slow midfielders... And adding pace?

Not sure if this is City anymore, feels more foreign than that time where we found all this money!

Sky Sports are reporting that the fee for Fernandinho is £34m, I'm assuming that might be including wages over the length of his contract? With the rumoured players coming in they're putting together a very solid looking squad for next season:

---------------Hart----------------
-------------Pantimilion-------------
Zabaleta Kompany Nastasic Clichy
Richards-------------Lescott-Kolarov
--------Toure--Fernandinho------
--------Rodwell----Barry-----------
---------------Silva---------------
---------------Nasri---------------
Navas--------Aguero---------Isco
Milner-------Cavani/Tevez----Sinclair

May need 1 more CB unless they're happy for Richards to cover RB and CB but apart from that they're strong in every position.

They should win the league considering Moyes is in charge of United now.

Are FC Shakhtar likely to sell both Fernandinho and Mkhitaryan? Would be strange if so, is the club in some financial trouble?

no they're not in any financial trouble, there's just better options available than the ukraine league.

they've bought a defensive and attacking midfielder already, presumably as replacements.

and here's seemingly the extra centre back that got brought up by di marzio months ago:

City have seen off late interest from Monaco and also closed the Diego Novaretti deal according to Mexican commentator Eugenio Diaz Alvarez.

would be a free transfer.

Fenerbahce have signed Bruno Alves from Zenit for €5.5m and the player will get €50k p/w wages.

not quite sure where sky plucked the 34 mil figure they're running with. will be absolutely amazed if the base figure is near that much. it might get up to 34 mil with a ton of add ons.

When Sky talk about our transfer fees they add on wages over the course of the initial contract as well. Not sure if they do that for anyone else.

Maybe that's what happened with us and Andy Carroll and this is all one big misunderstanding!

Speaking of, rumour is that West Ham are offering him a £100k/week deal - that's £20k/week more than we were paying him. Incredible.

The most overrated player in history?

I just want Zlatan in the EPL.

Isn't there some talk of Lescott maybe leaving for first team football given its a WC year coming up?

If he leaves, surely they'd need 2 CBs in.

I guess we could sell Williamson to them for 15m and Aguero :D
