ah ffs.... had three double up tourney's running.

1st one was down to 8 players (top 5 double their money) and I'm average sized and get pocket aces.

Lots of betting pre flop so I shove, get two callers. One guy has jacks the other has QJ (amazing that they called really).

Flop comes K A 9... Turn 6.... River...... 10. I was out.

2nd one, I have AK against QQ (only 6 left and I'm small stacked).

Flop comes A K 7... turn 5... River... Q. I was out

3rd one I had AJ against... K8os (ffs!)

Flop comes A 10 K... Turn 6.... River.... 8. I was out.

I've had worse beats, but three in the space of about 5 minutes is about to put me over the ****ing edge.

I love this vent. This could be me.

The worst thing is, that doesn't even tell half the story. Aside from the shocking all-in luck, I've also been getting coolered all over the place.

Poker is fun.

My vent....

Im only 20, and I dont have a cc. I cant be arsed getting around to shipping some money into my Pstars account. Effectively lazy and am too much in my comfort zone at 2/3 at Burswood to really get into online play.

A work colleague of mine has a roll of 6k on Pstars. I ask him if he can ship me about $100 and I will pay him in cash. He says no, it will leave him underrolled. He plays $13 6 man SnG's...

FML

playing stud hi on i-poker for the first time in months against some of the biggest muppets of all time and can't catch a ****ing thing, whilst when i do catch something i come up against something bigger

1) straight came up against a flush with a guy starting with Ah2d8h and two hearts out on 3rd... he hits hearts on fourth, sixth and river.

2) flush came against a guy who started with 949 against a completion, he bricks fourth and still calls two bets from me showing a 2-flush and another guy who obviously had aces. he hits running 4's on 5th and 6th.

3) just got stacked (bought in $40). bringin with (27)2. i hit two pair on 6th but guy has a straight after deciding to play the monster 5h6s2d

a couple of others i can't remember exactly.

mind you i think it's only fair i do mention i 1-outered a guy when i started (KK)T and was unimproved but he's board showed the very unthreatening 7-K-4-2 so i had no reason to believe i wasn't good. I believe it was karma for him calling someone's completition and my re-raise whilst holding (44)7.... "i has a pair, implied odds set value yeah man??"

seriously some of the worst play i've ever seen at $1/$2 on there but essentially just a card catching contest with guys playing basically anything and absolutely no aggression on 3rd street. tried to keep things in my favour by just playing good solid starting hands but got nailed over and over by people playing redicolous hands. will i be back?? yeah but it's an infuriating experience.

fortunately i won just over $40 prior to that playing omaha on i-poker for the first time in quite a while against more muppets - 10c/20c bought in for $20, got up to about $27 then doubled up through some guy who paid me off whilst he held a straight and on a flushing, paired board and i bet, he raised and i re-raised all in (I held the nut full house)....

Just use a debit/credit card Ash. Takes all of 5 minutes to load it up. Also, put more than $100 on there, no point grinding up a bankroll from that when you're already a good player. Put down a minimum of $500 on there IMO.

Again, effort lol...

Its just me but I would far rather play live at Burswood against people who I know well and are for the most part far weaker then those online who all know what they are doing.

Thus I cant be bothered getting serious money on my Stars account/any other account because I would rather just add it to my roll/head down to Burswood and play down there, even with a tougher rake, its more +EV IMO...

Aghh! Is it just me or is everyone getting worse?

Kind of an anti-vent.

You know how it sometimes seems that every time you fold a hand preflop, the flop comes down nuts for your folded hand? I had that feeling just now when I was forced to fold K6ss preflop only for the three spades to come down on the flop. I was ruefully counting the size of the pot I would have won, when the preflop raiser turned over A5ss for the nut flush. I then much more happily counted the size of the stack that I would have lost :)

Swings and roundabouts.

What do you mean you were forced to fold K6? Even suited that's generally a binner for me.

i.e, its not a good hand, and he should be folding... even though it is a hand you would like to play.

I hear it all the time at APL, i.e, OMG I would have flopped bottom two etc... only for someone to flop a set or get counterfieted etc...

Agh FFS ****ing piece of shit computers, ****ing breaks down twice in one ****ing week. Will take another 5 days to get it fixed, just the motherboard that needs replacing this time.

Was in $400 worth of tourneys and in two extremely soft cash games when it crashed. Was chip-leader in two tourneys which was deep came 2nd in two of them whilst away but still bloody pissed!!!

Spare computer is cheaper than $400! Crucial if you want to play mid-high stakes MTTs IMO.

Was thinking the exact same thing earlier. Might just invest in a desktop computer, cheaper and more reliable. Also forgot to vent at breaking my new screen, copped a nice $800 river beat (2-outer) and whacked my screen in anger (as you do)...cracked it. That bloody river card ended up costing me $1,300.

On the plus side of the laptop breaking down again if it brakes one more time I get a brand new one for free. :D

Another cruel and unusual vent for ash.

Today some American navy ship landed in Freo, and obviously the sailors are on land for the first time in a while. With most the pubs closing relatively early in WA due to various laws, most would be at the casino, most likely pissing away their money on various games including 2/3 NLHE...

Why is this a vent?? Becauser I am feeling sick as a dog, have a killer headache and cant summon the energy to get out of bed to get a part of these games...

grrr...

This kind of shit just follows me around on PS.
