Well, that went well.
First off, let me reiterate that I wasn't really taking this very seriously when I thought up the idea for a thread. Just for a laugh, pick a side made up of board members who'd want to play against the Adelaide/Port board's line-up. At first I was just going to see what the combinations could be, but then the fantasy footy thing was mentioned and it went alright I thought.
For a little while I was thinking I should just wait until I see a fair few AFC/PAFC supporters on and make a thread on the AFL board telling you to go at it hammer and tongs (no doubt annoying a hell of a lot of neutral supporters in the process) and then sitting back and watching the action. We could still do that but I s'pose it'd only be a matter of time before it was closed or moved. Hands up who reckons we should maybe still do it anyway?
This thread is for the coaches to give their press conferences as well heheh, go through each of the players performances and rate them if you want to too.
Of course the real showdown is on Sunday, good luck to the Power and hopefully those of you who can go do go. Depending on how the finals pan out, we may even meet again before the end of the 2003 season. There's no reason why we shouldn't try and do this every showdown.
Therefore, in this thread please give your general thoughts, ask any questions you have, and comment on how things were set up and handled. Remember, the Fantasy Footy stuff is probably best directed at Deestroy or someone like that so hopefully he'll see this thread and help out as well.
As with any future matches there can be line-up changes and ins and outs and new recruits, perhaps there will even be changes off the field as well. All week here I was thinking I was in the halfback line but on match day I was a target up forward!

I kept my opponent pretty quiet, got 16 possesions, 4 marks myself and kicked a beauty from outside 50.
but they didn't really work.
