i often wonder why i'm not president of the club when i think of my long history of public nudity... as for you JT, we should only consider you for next year if adam treloar pays your salary

One of the all time favourites has retired....Chris Mayne. Plunged to unheard of deeps of form in his first year at the Pies.... quite unbelievable that he didnt quit the game then. I'm sure every pie supporter wanted him to return his salary. In fact he went so far down, that people weren't even whipping him. He managed to reinvent himself as a slow play expert. Paradoxically, he was one of the best in the grand final loss. In some respects, its been hard to kick him in the guts since that game, but we do.... it's our job.

He will be sorely missed... and it must be a sign to his fellow whipping A-lister JT that the end is near.... I hope that statues will be erected to both in the vic park urinals in the near future.

Even though I loved Mayne, I've cleaned it up for you:

Great club man at 2 clubs, despite being a spud. Great guy to have around the younger blokes, professional and always gives his all. Just don't let them learn his habit of standing around doing nothing, before going backwards once you get the ball in your hands. Extracted every last bit out of his career, which was still pretty rank he should be very proud if himself. One of the longest enduring spuds in history. Hopefully a development coaching role somewhere is in his future, just not with us as it'd be better if he taught other teams to kick it backwards.

Maynie will be coaching young men to forever doubt themselves, to always reach for certainty, to eliminate risks, to wait and wait and wait.....

He will be a fine teacher in his private life...programming young men and women to be the next check-out operator, the shell service station cashier, the stop-go operator on the side of the highway...

There is also a scientific investigation currently in place that is trying to splice his DNA into a slow loris gnome...in order to slow the loris down to becoming a statue...

Mayne's legacy remains. His name will be celebrated at whipping conventions in the future.

You dont have to wait for replacements... they're already on the list. Just scan the match day threads. Even players like Trey who is building a fan base at the moment, can turn to being a list clogger in an instant. Just think of the people who caned him initially and then turned to praise him....Think how savage they will become if his form drops. Its a mouth watering thought.

Madge is another who is being closely watched by a number of fans who want to tear him to pieces.... He's walking on a razor at the moment..

Wilson is another who still gets the odd positive comment. I expect that to change in the future.

The good thing about the new batch from last year is that they are raising hope with the faithful...... their fate could be a savage mauling in the not too distant future.

I think the new kids will provide us with a lot of material in the coming years. They only need one or two poor games, out of their first five or six, and their reputations will be trashed in here. Poulter’s close. Macrae and Henry were looking good for a whipping but disappointingly are showing some good footy traits.

yeh we just have to realise that we won against the eagles last game. Things are bound to be slow. Fans are jubilant. Posters are optimistic. I always view times like these as part of a buildup to something good. Even all the positive comments about Maynie seem a bit surreal. You'd be run out of town if you posted that crap a few months ago. Things will settle down to the usual stuff.

I'm just a bit worried. I'll be disappointed if the club doesn't return to inexplicably selecting Murphy. Not being able to lash him last week was really dissatisfying.
