Sinking heart feeling for sure. How scary must it be for an opposition player to see Burgoyne walk up to the centre square with 5 minutes to ago and a goal the difference.

As a Swans fan it actually is. One of the most ruthless players in the comp, and very underrated still. Will be missed when he goesHow scary must it be for an opposition player to see Burgoyne walk up to the centre square with 5 minutes to ago and a goal the difference.
People on about Rioli being clutch and Buddy out on the full
Have any of you considered there's a remote control device in the ball? Of course Rioli can pull out a 55m goal in the last minute of a game with all his hamstring issues![]()

Not really. Collingwood have learned how to avoid that situation the past few years. How scary must it be for an opposition player to see Burgoyne walk up to the centre square with 5 minutes to ago and a goal the difference.
Did you know Clarko shot JFK, Hodge orchestrated 9/11 and Cyril acted in the film which purportedly showed man's first steps on the moon?
A little bit of venting, a little bit of indulging my imagination a little bit. I don't know though, it just strikes me as strange how it's happening so much though.
They are winning close ones because they have come back into the field a bit, when compared to when they were dominating teams. Another year or so and they'll start losing close ones and then that will accelerate as the stars like Mitchell, Hodge start retiring. It's just the cycle of footy

Their decline will be eventually swift but at this point we can't see it but a stack of stats show it is only a matter of time.
It will happen and I congratulate them for taking their opportunities at the moment - but my bet, they won't win the GF.
Cue the Hawks fans having a go at this post.

No, it's just confirmation bias![]()
I think the Hawks are being secretly aided by aliens.
If you watch the replay in slow motion, you can see the moment they switch the balls. Rioli's kick only went about 30 metres.
We had close ones last year too............but were losing them. (Cats, Swans, GWS, Essendon) Does that mean we've improved?
BTW I don't think we have. But it kind of nullifies your theory on why we are winning them.
Calm down
