I know Jako's not exactly the smartest guy going around, but surely after everything that's happened at wet toast, he can understand that Farmer isn't playing WAFL because he's not up to AFL, it's because he needs to sort his carp out OFF the field.

We all know that Jeffery is way too good for the WAFL, but we also know that he needs to serve his time and EARN back the respect that he has lost. The easiest thing to do would be to rush him straight back in, but the club has to stay strong and show it's not going to put up with players who think they are above the team's rules.

I tend to agree with the article that the 6 week suspension we gave him is probally a bit much.

We are missing him dearly at the moment.

West Coast legend Glen Jakovich, now an assistant at South Fremantle, said he thought Farmer's performance may cause some angst in the Dockers camp.

"To Jeff's credit he played like the true professional he is," Jakovich said.

"He kicked three goals, and he was just fantastic. Maybe Fremantle should revisit his suspension, because I reckon he should be playing (for them)."

I think he's made a fair comment. He's called Jeffrey a "true professional" in how he's carried himself; he's come out and played an outstanding game (3.2 + 5 assists + 5 clearances when playing in the middle); and we all know how good he is and how much our team would be intstantly improved if he were to play.

It's more of a "here's a compliment to how good Jeffrey is", rather than actually saying "they should change their minds". I reckon it's metaphoric, rather than literal (even if he doesn't (can't) use those words... that's where he's coming from IMO... ).

After finding himself on the outer following the arrival of Chris Tarrant at Dockerland, Murphy's struggles in the WAFL ended with an eight goal haul to put him back on the radar for the visit of St Kilda next week.

Farmer got the correct penalty. It will make him realise that his bad temper tantrums are just completely selfish and having a negative impact on the team.

He got six weeks for eye gouging, he has just been charged for assaulting a bouncer two weeks ago, when is he going to cut down his stupid bad temper? A six week ban imposed by the club is much better than a slap on the wrist.

Good on him for putting in a good team performance last night. Lets hope he backs it up and improves on it until round 13.

I disagree Rev.You guys were all set to have a good year. Farmer gets six weeks. That throws the team thinking out, and then continues his off field dramas which after the shennagins at our club, you had to do something drastic. Let me ask you this , over the years on and off the paddock, how many times has he let the team down?He virtually slapped CC in the face.

Maybe since Jako became an assistant at South Freo he taught Jeff how to slap. Bloody Slappo, I knew it was the eagles fault that Farmer is out!

Imagine if the eagles didnt have all this off field crap, nobody would be keeping a close eye over hear, Farmer wouldnt have been suspended for sure. Im glad the club did it so quick anyhow to show the weagles how to act on such indescretions.
