Took the dogs for a good walk from Rocky point to Bells beach, roughy 12 plus ks.
I planned to go back via the beach but low tide was not that due to full moon.
I gave them rest and water breaks, they were brilliant.
Pity with the non low tide we had to go back the way we came, sighty boring.
Seen the full moon over the beach on the way back.
Go home later than expected had good dinner and relax in the spa.

Got 2 waterfalls planned for my next time I head to Lorne plus the canyon.

Been thinking I might do a GOR trip a bit different no Lorne no AP.

Like Foodland “the mighty South Aussies”, that slogan always made me laugh
I dunno how foodland is still around considering the dominance of Cole’s and woolies and the emergence of iga

Snowtown gets a bad wrap.

I find it funny they used the wrong chemicals.
If they had used lime then over time it would have dissolved teeth too. A very grim discovery, the forensic scientist said the smell still haunts him.

If their advertising was to be believed you could run into Tony McGuiness or Wayne Weidmann at Foodland doing their shopping in full Crows kit.

And Aldi. There's also Drake's, Costco and Harris Farms. We used to have Tom the Cheap, Food for Less, Jewel, Buy-Rite, Dickins, Sims and Foodworks, most of which were absorbed by the big ones.

I can only speak for some of the locations I have frequented but they carved out a niche with locations like Frewville, Fairview Green and also the new location in Pulteney Street. There's a lot more of an 'experience' going in there in a Whole Foods kind of way for those familiar with that American place. When I had housemates we'd spend an afternoon food shopping and get a cafe lunch half way through, it was brilliant.

I certainly do not have the extra dollars lying about for that sort of experience these days so I just get my groceries delivered.

Most IGA's in Qld are called Drakes now.
