Our old office building had a seldom-used community portal that was very well funded due to a lot of state and federal government tenants. Over the span of the year I won a slow cooker, 12 months of Disney+, and a $200 JB Hi-Fi voucher by virtue of being one of the only people throwing my hat in the ring.

Moved to a new building and we ain't got shit going on, it sucks.

Yeah that win was probably 5-6 years ago but it’s definitely a thing.

That reminds me of the absolutely stacked competitions they used to have on Video Hits. I remember when they were announcing the prizes they just kept going and going and going with the inclusions.

CDs, video players, TVs, posters, merch. Sometimes holidays. Exactly the type of competitiond I'd have killed to win as a kid.

Come 5 minutes before the draw some bloke sees our manager about to draw it, asks if it's too late to enter if he buys some extra dry. Gets his entry in and wins the bloody thing. Only entry in the box that wasn't mine.
