Things that please me - Part 6

I worked in a bottle shop when I was younger and they had a draw with a tooheys extra dry fridge filled with beer. I'd spent the previous month gaming the system by removing every entry that wasn't mine.

Come 5 minutes before the draw some bloke sees our manager about to draw it, asks if it's too late to enter if he buys some extra dry. Gets his entry in and wins the bloody thing. Only entry in the box that wasn't mine.
Wow you really are a Sydney supporter.

Things that shit me: friends who constantly make everything about themselves. I recall vividly old mate telling me his sister was on a flight to somewhere on malaysian airlines. Around the same time as that fateful flight. MY SISTER WAS FLYING MALAYSIAN! IT COULDVE BEEN HER! (not remotely the same route or anything)

Things that please me: I offered counsel by patting him on the back and saying "there there, you'll be alright, it'll be ok".

He wasnt pleased with my tone.

I didn't hear you say this but sounds like your tone was correct.

My uncle should have been on one of those planes that hit the World Trade Centre on September 11.

I think.

Pretty brave rocking the Hawks boxer shorts after they had a loss last night, I only wear my Saints boxer shorts after a win.

They would still look brand new 😜

My works water system is unreliable in that something is in the water, thus unsafe to drink. I've done varied things in recent times (either a single drink bottle, or a pre purchased bottle of water + a drink bottle, 2 drink bottles etc).

I've recently added a third drink bottle which holds 1 litre, I'll retain all 3 bottles for now. But I'll probably eliminate one so I don't over drink during the day.

I will reply because I can :p

Just celebrating water hydration!

Normally would carry one drink bottle, but gradually added a second a while ago and as of this past week added a third.
If I drink all 3, I'd be drinking 2.5 litres of water. But I'll likely remove one of the drink bottles and thus only drink 1.5ish litres instead.

I have a water bottle on my work desk. I think it's around 800 mL and I fill it up a couple of times a day. If I am at home I will just use a glass.

I do find it curious that people lug around those giant water bottles that hold over 2 litres. Don't mean to humblebrag about the size of my house but the kitchen is maybe 8 metres away. Not exactly crossing the desert with Moses just to get a drink. What are these people preparing for? A 1.9L Yeti bottle is $150 and keeps drinks cold for days. Can only imagine how handy that is in an office environment.
