I had a wound on my right arm and to mitigate the issue I applied a band-aid to it. When it had worn out its welcome I peeled it of to discover that it had been more painful seeing as I have now quite hairy arms and I ripped a few hairs of it. It reminded me of a time when I would peel a band-aid of as a child and it would not hurt at all.

Fitting into a child-size Spiderman costume.

When going to a place to hang out with your mates was considered a pain in the ass just because you had to learn along the way.

One obvious one i've realised is jumping from heights, as a kid you just launch (be it roofs, platforms into water etc.,), now i'm piss weak and takes a huge effort to even consider it, and wouldn't go half the height used to jump off.

Definitely this. I used to jump off everything, now I never do.

We had a really big archway in our hall, and I used to climb to the top of it like this.

making friends was a lot easier.
sports carnivals once a year, you'd make some friends and then the day would be over. same time next year, you seemingly just picked up where you left off and on it would go for 3 or 4 years until someone stopped playing that sport or you got too old.
now as an adult, if you meet someone at a function, you can't remember their name an hour later never mind 12 months.

Going to friend's houses. You just turned up, it didn't have to be formally organised between your mothers a week in advance.

Yeah I could imagine the conversation(imagine it with snooty or snobbish voices):
Mother A "Mother B lets make an arrangement"
Mother B "OK Mother A. What about?"
MA "My young Timothy would like to come to your place on Saturday the 3rd of March and see your Thomas"
MB "Well you see Thomas is going on dance recital camp starting 2nd of March and goes for the entire weekend until he comes back on the 5th of March. Say what about the 10th of March"
MA "Well you see our family goes on vacation that weekend. Say how about the 24th"

And on and on and on until both mothers agree to somewhere in May/June period.

Imagination was a cinch to do as a child. Now as an adult it is nearly impossible.

It was easier to eat at school.

I went through school in the 80's and I didn't know a soul with a food allergy. My son has a dozen or more children at his school with anaphylactic allergies and the list of things he cannot take to school is surprising.

What things can't he take to school may I ask?

It was easier to eat at school.

Being young, with no job and money, at school, i was somehow able to go without food from breakfast till tea.
Until i got a job and money, then i would eat crap every day.

Playing footy and not getting injured.
Now days, every time i decide to put on the boots, i will do a knee or hammy or something.

Sleeping in till early afternoon. Now, even when i want to sleep in, my body wants to wake up at 7 every morning.

Being able to live off measely amounts of money.
The amount of money id get from my first job (for a whole week), would barely sustain me for a day nowadays.

Peanuts and nuts in general are usually discouraged in high schools, and flat-out banned in primary schools.

I would say getting to school is easier for students these days, compared to my childhood. Every kid gets driven now, whereas it used to be a real treat to have my mum or dad drive me.

But back in the day every suburb had a school and it was a 10 minute walk at most on quite back streets, or a 5 minute ride. Good times.
