The more I think about it, the more ridiculous it seems. Why are we giving a failed coach a farewell match in Round 11? WTF??

Has any team ever done this before? It's embarrassing.

Completely agree Ranger. :thumbsu:
We have now as a club moved on mentally.
Old wood is old wood.
TW should have gone immediately after the Press Conference.

It's got me??? Who thought out this one more match rubbish???

I'm not a fan either, but it does give us time to select the replacement ( even if it is a temp ) and for players/staff/fans all to adjust.

if it costs us a game...well, most of you want us to tank for the next 236 years anyway, don't you?

It's one game!!
Let Kane Johnson coach us for one game....who cares?
Just get the current sacked (oh yeh, sorry, walking away) coach out of there!

Give the coaching gig for 1 night to Cleve Hughes.
Just so he can get on the ground during a Senior game! duh!

This seems to be the sentiment of many on this board..

sad but true :(

So rather than go through the disruption of changing coach once, you'd rather we did it twice?

With a few notable exceptions, caretakers have notoriously poor records so by appointing a caretaker so early inthe season the club have effectively made the decision to tank. Maybe they think we won't win this game anyway.

Oh come on.....*sob* *sob* *sob*

What if Terry had a cold tonight or gastro? (don't mention swine flu!) ;)

What then would we have to do for one game?
Think on our feet...get someone to take over.
The world won't stop. The team or club won't crumble any further.

We could have a different coach EVERY game till the end of the year, and the only thing that matters to the RFC going forward is the 2010 Coach.

Grow Up!!

ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

????

Not sure where you got the impression I'm having a cry...

As I said at the start, I'm not a fan of doing it ths way...The club should have had an option in mind already and handed it over directly.

But as it would appear they didn't, I'm just pointing out that this way does have some advantages.

( and the rest of this season does matter...lots of development can be done in that time ).

Really, I suspect there was some kind of deal done. TW said he'd go quietly and 'resign' so long as we gave him the farewell he missed at WB. Made things a lot less messy, and means the new coach gets a (relatively) soft initiation game next week.

who cares, just give him his farewell game, then its over, as somebody else said it gives us time to find a caretaker :thumbsu:

LMAO

U sound as precious as the senior playing group.

They should have already had the caretaker lined up, especially if it's someone within the club. If they end up appointing someone from outside as the caretaker, then okay. Maybe they needed the time. If Campbell or Rawlings get the gig, then really...what is the point of Wallace being in charge tonight?

Hm? I don't follow. What are you saying?

Do you agree or disagree with Wallace being given a farewell match in the middle of the season?

now thats REALLY looking to the future, getting the number 1 draft pick every couple of years. imagine all the father sons (after a couple generations to weed out the dud sons)! in 250 years thats one hell of a team!

yeah i understand what you are saying, but they want to send him off on a high i suppose, a crack at his old club, and within the club that's what they want to do, just kinda like a respect thing.

Na......you all have it wrong.:thumbsd:

It's part of the clubs exit strategy.:thumbsu:

While he is at the game the club rooms are being exorcised.
His desk and 1814 game plans are being torched.
His tanning machine is cut into two and taken to each end of the earth.
His Jordan McMahon and Nathan Brown wall sized tapestries are also to be burnt.

Let the cleansing ceremony begin.............:D
