Scott Thompson might be better right now, but I would honestly bet my freedom as a man if Ryan Griffen doesn't end up a better player than him.

It's one thing if a player could potentially become a lot better, but Griffen is on a steady improvement curve. He'll probably be a better player than Thompson by the end of the season.

Yep, potentially Griffen but judging purely on career to date, I voted Thompson.

don't remember claiming Stants was our best midfielder

but then again our best midfielder could be an ice junkie so I guess we are lucky.

I could use the same anology with West Coast and their best "forward", it wouldnt be pretty at all.

Didnt stop them being a successful team though.

if ya voting right now youd have to say thompson is the best going around then griffen than stanton. stanton would have to be close to the best if only he could kick, and the way the game is played these days, u need to be able to kick to play the game.

You must not go to many Essendon game cos Stantons kicking has improved out of sight. His vision is excellent, the reason he gets a few turnovers is because he creates by kicking long which is good. If doesnt work always but at least his having a crack unlike other robot like players. The weakness in Stants game is that he can sometimes be a bit unaccountable and leave his player free. Other than that his a pretty good all round player.

Stanton is 20 years old and is already a good consistent midfielder, I think he has the 1 goal per week average Lynch covered.

Thompson is winning so far. Stanton is better than Griffen right now as well. But Griffen should become the best of the 3 a bit down the track.
