I'm making the trip to the GABBA for the first time in a couple of weeks. I see that the Brisbane website says that reserve tickets go on sale this Tuesday @ 9am.

Which end do Richmond supporters usually sit at? I see behind one goal there is "general reserve" and the other end there is Cat 2 and Cat 3.

Here is the map.

Just don't want to be surrounded by Brisbane supporters.. would love to know where the cheer squad/general Richmond area will be. Cheers. :thumbsu:

I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this either so if anyone knows which end the Tige's cheer squad sits at the gabba would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers :thumbsu:

The last time i went with the free tickets the tigers gave me with intersate membership was around that 12/13 section on bottom level. That was where the tigers all gathered, however there is always a massive number of tigers fans at the gabba so safe to sit almost anywhere. I have gone with premium tickets this time as i like being up higher. Always good to give shit to the cocky lions supporters when they start to lose:thumbsu:

Just the rang the club who said cheer squad will be in bays 16 and 17.
RFC members will be in bays 30/31.

am lucky enough to be sitting in a private box next week. the tigers are a very well supported club in seq so shouldn't really matter where you sit. also, the qld richmond supporters club has a function on before & after the game at the broadway for anyone interested. the prematch function is $30 (i think) but the after match function is free.

Nice one. Thanks for the info. Looking forward to it. What does the $30 get you?

think it is some food. they are having guest speakers flea & an assistant coach. being in brisbane will probably be leppa (just a guess). also big carl ditterich who owns the broadway will be speaking. just got a flyer & they are asking people to book thru jevans@richmondfc.com.au

they are having a live band at the post match function

Thanks again.
Might go to the after match.
Thinking of heading to the Pineapple before the game. I have never been to the Gabba either, but will be with a friend who is a local.

plenty of pubs around the gabba & the pineapple is probably the pick of them. good food there. plenty of lions fans to annoy :D

Better late than never :) although people at PRE + tugga were able to help me out.

So basically... Cheer Squad will be in bays 16/17.

RFC members in 30/31

Apparently the QLD tiger supporters group will be in bays 39/40 (edit: may not be correct?)

And I will be in bay 26. :D

If you want to sit near the Cheer Squad I think you have to wait until next Wednesday to buy a "general reserve" ticket. I probably would have liked to have done that but I will be already in QLD by then so wanted to be 100% I would have seats for the game.

So would the Pineapple Hotel be the best place to eat before the game? Anyone know any other places besides Broadway the Pineapple to grab a bite?

I wish I was at the German Club! But sadly am going to be with the Richmond Football Club at the Stamford Plaza. Am hoping that this trip is quieter than the Intercontinental in May. Will be sitting with a whole bunch of RFC tigers but don't know where exactly in the ground until I get the ticket on Sat arvo. Hopefully we will have a run of two wins on the trot.
