I haven’t seen much about it so I’d like to pump up the crowd on Saturday. It was a different challenge to what we were presented last Saturday, with actual opposition supporters there, but we clearly won the noise stakes. When the crows ran out on the ground, our boos drowned them out. The chanting of “Richo” both when he took the cup to the middle at the start and when he presented the cup to Cotch and Dimma truly showed how much we wanted it for him. And the boos of the crowd during their stupid stance was delicious. Plus a few people chanted “Eddie” when he kicked a point in the 2nd quarter. The crowd was truly hostile for the crows despite lacking our usual outnumbering.

Booing during their stance.

Is that the same time as the National Anthem. Please tell me we didn't boo the anthem.
National Anthem ended, Richmond players broke, we all yelled and screamed like usual, became clear the crows were still there, we all booed them. Was after the anthem :)

I got the impression the Richmond fans booed after the anthem because Adelaide continued to stare us down while our players walked off lol that's how it came across on TV.

Definitely the booing was after the national anthem. The Cows just stood there, opposite to the direction of the wind.

The Tiger Army are magnificent.
We have been for decades and during some dark days.
This September we elevated ourselves to legendary status.
Any Tigers on here who were standing with me and my son in M11, the old Bay 13...

Phenomenal month all round fro our fans.

The GF is the GF with all the corporates and the opposition as well but the truly historic moment was the Prelim final where it is no exaggeration to say upwards of 85,000 Richmond turned out which was many thousands ahead of the famed Collingwood turnout in 2002.

Never in the history of the game has one club brought so many to a match. It is impossible to imagine a greater one club turnout and that will probably stand for ages or indeed forever unless serious work in done on the MCG capacity as the greatest single club turnout in history.

The Tiger army has lived up to and beyond the hype, myths and urban legends of the sleeping giant. I don't give a **** what anyone says we are now the biggest sporting club in the land.

Biggest ever QF crowd, biggest ever PF crowd V inter state opposition, Biggest ever AFL era GF crowd, biggest ever parade turn out.....the list goes on. Noise, colour, everything we could have wanted.

As you rightly say the club has totally lived up to the idea that has long been around that when it finally struck gold it would be seen to have the deep and real loyalty of a vast army of fans.

Unless its pissing down there will be 95,000 at Round 1 next year. Another record? Probably.

Plus we held the best street party down Swan St
.....

No, not the famous tune of ‘yellow and black’. By this stage, on Saturday night, edging towards the early hours of Sunday morning, they had moved on to more nostalgic songs.

“Richo, Richo man!” they cried.

As you moved closer to Swan St, the picture became more clear. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of people — all clad in Richmond gear — celebrating what they had waited 37 years for.

No club has an epicentre quite like the Tigers do in Swan Street. It’s what made these celebrations so unique. Everyone had flooded into the heart of Richmond. And they were ready to party.

The first thing that struck you was the noise. People chatting, laughing, singing. Somehow, trumpeters had been summoned, providing the soundtrack to an incredible night.
