Ok folks, I decided to put a "just for fun" post up here. Tip Carlton's wins for the rest of the season. Lets see at the end of it how many wins we all think we can have and at the end of the season we can see how we all went.
I know it's hard doing this before round 1 but have a go and see how you go.

* = Very unsure.

Here goes...

1. Richmond (A,MCG) W
2. Brisbane (H,TD) W*
3. Essendon (H,MCG) W*
4. Sydney (A,SCG) W
5. Western Bulldogs (A,TD) W
6. Hawthorn (A,MCG) L
7. Fremantle (H,Gold Coast) W
8. Collingwood (A,MCG) W*
9. Adelaide (A,AS) W
10. West Coast (H,TD) W
11. Brisbane (A,G) W*
12. St. Kilda (H,TD) L*

13. Essendon (A,MCG) W*
14. Fremantle (A,S) W
15. Richmond (H,MCG) W
16. Sydney (H,TD) W
17. Collingwood (H,MCG) W*
18. North Melbourne (A,TD) W
19. Geelong (H,MCG) L
20. Port Adelaide (A,AS) W
21. Melbourne (H,TD) W
22. Adelaide (H,TD) W

Total Wins if * are Wins: 19
Total Wins if * are Losses: 13

2008 Top 8
1. 21 wins
2. 17 wins
3. 15 wins
4. 13 wins
5. 13 wins
6. 12 wins
7. 12 wins
8. 12 wins

So going by that we can have between 13 and 19 wins.

P.S. We have an excellent draw!

Review of other teams:
Adelaide - Aging side that is on the down.
Brisbane - Promising youngsters and a full list will see this side improve from 2008
Carlton - Probably the AFL's most improved side with a good young list all hitting their peak at the one time and getting players back from injury.
Collingwood - With young talent coming through and players back from injury plagued 2008 they will be improved.
Essendon - Still in the redevelopment, had a bad run with injuries last year and with some luck will be improved. Could improve a lot with luck.
Fremantle - On the rebuild and will dwell at the bottom this year.
Geelong - They will be good but not as good as 2007 and maybe 2008. There desperate for a tall forward to step up before their key players get much older. Could be slightly on the down.
Hawthorn - Have a lot of injuries and may not get off to the best start but were the best side in it last year. Beware a premiership hangover.
Melbourne - They will improve, players back from injuries and new drafted talent. They will still be around the bottom.
North Melbourne - Overachieved for years and with some old key players retiring will struggle this year.
Port Adelaide - Still rebuilding, will be improved if they have a full list but they need to start rebuilding and won't have a great season.
Richmond - Overrated? Either way they have a good list on paper and later in the season when they get Cousins/Coughlan match fit they will be alright. They might lack depth though so injuries will hurt them. They are not as far advanced in the rebuilding process as Carlton.
St. Kilda - Won't get any better but probably won't get any worse.
Sydney - An old list lacking A-grade young players, they are where carlton was in 2002 and will hit the bottom this year.
West Coast - High draft picks and key players back from injury plagued season will see them improve and probably get back into the 8.
Western Bulldogs - Overachieved like North and will get found out this year with their lack of quality talls, they will rely on kids and the good small players they have to win games.

I doubt we will get 19 wins we would need everything to got right, which it wont.

Nice post all up:thumbsu:

12 wins for mine.

I was goign through it today too, and it's funny, there's only maybe 3 games now where I think we'll definately lose. Pretty much every single game we play now we have a huge chance of winning which is great

21. Melbourne (H,TD) W
22. Adelaide (H,TD) W

13 wins, 9 losses.

Really Hard to pick at this stage, last year showed if we play our best we can beat anyone bar geelong and hawthorn but in between those good games we lost poorly to essendon/richmond.

I expect our consistency to pick up this year since we have been the youngest side in the comp for 3 or so years now and we are finally off the bottom in that standard. I believe we will win 3 more games then last year, Losses will come against geelong, hawks, saints, Brisbane, Essendon and possibly the Roos although the losses against everyone outside geelong and the hawks are totally reliant on our lack of capability against tall forwards.

This task is impossible but I'll give my thoughts anyway.

1. Richmond (A,MCG) W
2. Brisbane (H,TD) W
3. Essendon (H,MCG) L
4. Sydney (A,SCG) L
5. Western Bulldogs (A,TD) W
6. Hawthorn (A,MCG) L
7. Fremantle (H,Gold Coast) W
8. Collingwood (A,MCG) L
9. Adelaide (A,AS) L
10. West Coast (H,TD) W
11. Brisbane (A,G) L
12. St. Kilda (H,TD) L

13. Essendon (A,MCG) W
14. Fremantle (A,S) W
15. Richmond (H,MCG) W
16. Sydney (H,TD) L
17. Collingwood (H,MCG) W
18. North Melbourne (A,TD) L
19. Geelong (H,MCG) L
20. Port Adelaide (A,AS) W
21. Melbourne (H,TD) W
22. Adelaide (H,TD) W

That's 12 wins which should see us sneak into the finals. Keep in mind that I have put us splitting our games with Essendon and Collingwood.

Beating Adelaide at home in round 22 is optimistic but losing to Sydney at home in round 16 is more pessimistic so it balances itself out :).

Well, even though I havn't got the correct games tipped, we are where I thought we would be at this stage, and still think we will have an ordinary start to this season, but finnish off with a BOOM!!

Will make the 8.
