So far we dont know all the facts. We just dont. if theres a settlement with the AFL we may NEVER know.

This is what I'm worried about. Regardless of the outcome of this whole saga, something has gone very wrong, and it needs to be investigated, and the people who have put it into motion need to be dealt with. Perhaps that involves jobs being lost, perhaps not.

The problem is, the club has proven very willing to sweep incidents under the rug in the past, and without the facts entering the public arena, it would be very easy for them to simply say "well we can't discuss the full facts but this person will be remaining in his role."

I'm worried that we're not going to hear the full story and that there are people, still at the club, who are responsible for placing our club in this horrible situation that will still be there in the future.

And I still can't shake this nagging fear that we accepted a loss of draft picks just to protect the public reputations of our administrators. That would be unforgivable.

Apparently not. Heard a whisper on the vine today that there are some VERY unhappy players with the old Tipster throughout the AFL - but particularly at Sydney.

If I am a sydney player, and I'm asked to accept less than market value on my next contract to keep the group together, and for the bloods culture I am not sure how I feel about my sacrifice being funnelled into the pockets of hungry hungry tippo?

The AFL better not buckle on this. If its okay to take 2 picks off us then the other party has to be punished as well.

After reading this article I was wondering just where this guy gets off. Now he wants to become a "delisted free agent" Perhaps Iam lacking some understanding but I thought that Free Agency had to be earned though a number of years service. Also if Tippett gets his wish does this mean we are entitled to a compensation pick from the AFL?

Pretty sure the AFL can't/won't allow him to become a delisted free agent because of the precedent it would set.

There's a lot of woulda coulda shoulda about that piece - not much hard fact. The Tippett camp keeps threatening legal action via the media but they have yet to put their balls on the chopping block.

westies dont always pay their players on time or the right amount, hence why they have lost alot of players this year

I was just thinking... Sydney adds a two year bonus to Kurt's contract IF he plays at least 19 games for them in each of the first four years. AFL places a ban on him for playing for more than four weeks, he can kiss that bonus goodbye. Or has he been told he will get a four week ban and Sydney have allowed for that in their offer? Or it relates to his concussion issue? I wonder how many third party deals Kurt will need at Sydney? Is $900,000 per annum enough? With what he earned at Adelaide + the TPPs he was on, he would have been on at least that here. I wonder if it was all worth it?

While I'm sure some of the Adelaide players would have the shits with Kurt, I find it very hard to believe that this feeling extends 'throughout the AFL'. I imagine there's plenty of players who would have a view on his conduct, but that's a long way from being VERY unhappy.

I'd be unhappy if his actions played a role in reducing my salary due to the third party microscope coming out too. It's not necessarily about his behaviour it's about the knock on effect his behaviour has. Sydney players on the other hand have all rights to feel aggrieved but they'll get over it.

All these twists, turns, back pedals and admissions will likely go untold, which could save some peoples jobs and also make me lose a lot of respect for the club.
