2nd best contested mark in the AFL, if he doesn't mark the ball will drop it to the foot of the contest, proven big game player, excellent second ruck providing the ultimate flexibility in the modern game... high rotations etc etc.

Strongest player at the club in chin ups for a 104 kg player is also worth a mention.

He is 2 players in one and excellent in 2 of the most important roles in the game.

Do you want to know more?????????????????????

Went missing for 2/3 finals this year.
Hardly think strongest in chin ups is worth a mention. He's strong, yes, but that's not a facet of his game that people are attracted to/is an important asset to his game. We want to be seeing tap work, over head marks and goals.

15th in our B&F. Seems about right. We should hide those results ASAP. Once in the top 10 in his 6 years with Adelaide. $800000 per year? Presumably Thommo gets 2 million. With all the clubs interested in him this is going to work out well, we will get overs for what he is really worth. He is an inverse moneyball player Tippo

He missed 6 games though and was concussed in 3 others. So he didn't do too badly.

Smack is one of the most uncoordinated athletes I've ever seen.

A friend of mine met him at a Charity quiz night and said of how Smack didn't know that when selling raffle tickets, he should keep one stub for the raffle drawing instead of giving the buyer both stubs. He had to 'check' with others first.

So maybe not a great decision maker at all?

In all seriousness, I really hope he has a big 2013.

I've been reading these threads since they began. Only compelled to start posting tonight.

At the end of the day, Kurt can do what he wants. The way he has handled it though has been very poor and has lacked any sort of respect for the AFC.

I would've respected Kurt if he came out and said "whoever gives me the best offer that suits my lifestyle and financial stability will get me". Put it on the table from the outset. Would I go for $1milllon? Of course!!! But that's not the issue. It's the way he has played this out.

You know what gives me comfort?

Tex is 100 times the player that Kurt will ever be.

This is a bit like your claim (despite enormous evidence to the contrary) that I said Tippett and the AFC signed a "contract" for his return to the Gold Coast. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good argument.

Please tell me the six games that Kurt missed.

I hate Eddie but his attitude is what I want Trigg to adopt.

It is why nobody here deals with Collingwood and Essendon by choice, very hard to get win/win trades, they are always looking to screw the other party which makes trading difficult. It has taken free agency for Essendon to get anyone of note, simply because they don't have to deal with the other club.

According to lasted rumours, Caddy will nominate North so at least our first round pick will go on the table, I am assuming they will want currency from their runners for the Tippett trade. What realistically do you think you guys could get for him? if its not us it will be Geelong or Saints who have a similar pick.

However many bloody games he missed. He missed essentially 6 games (3 out, and 3 concussed/off early).
_______________
Did you or did you not INFER in most of your statements that Kurt had made a deal at the end of last season. (With whom you were not as clear on until more recently)?

Is it possible that Kurt signed a contract with Brisbane or Gold coast at the end of last season?

The "negotiations" have followed a very similar pathway to all the players listed above. If Kurt signed with Gold Coast or Brisbane at the end of last season how do you think things would have played out?

... when it becomes public that Kurt did a deal at the end of last year.

The off season will be very memorable this year.

P.S. One of the trainers is not a source. A board member is a source.

Let's just say, for the sake of argument, that the CEO received information that a player had signed with another club (e.g. Tom Scully at Melbourne). Who is the CEO obliged to inform

1) The Board - absolutely

2) General Manager Football operations - probably

3) Senior Coach - possibly

Unfortunately the inner sanctum at West Lakes are now convinced that Kurt has already done the deal with the Gold Coast.
__________

Well?

Rightio,

So Neil Craig is a great coach.
Kurt Tippett desereves to be the highest paid crow ever.
Jared Petrenko wasnt a liability in the finals.
And Ben Rutten had a ripping season.

Stop watching Batman and watch the Crows
Rutten was one of our better players during the finals. pets was one of our most important players during the season, despite having a poor final series he is hardly a spud. Stick to 'team dj' mate.

Haha **** you!

Despite never having sold raffle tickets in my life, logic would dictate to me that if a ticket is to be drawn from a raffle, the seller would have to keep something which matches up with the tickets they've sold. :p

Safe to say, some footballers are not big on logic! ;)

Finally?

Tippett is expected to announce today where he wants to play next season. It is understood that the Brisbane Lions have offered a lucrative five-year deal, while Gold Coast and Sydney have also offered long-term contracts.
While still hopeful about Brisbane's chances, Lions football manager Rob Kerr said yesterday the Swans had emerged as a serious destination for a man who originally wanted to return to Queensland. ''They have put together a pretty attractive offer, dare I say,'' he said. ''I expect we will find out [on Saturday] morning.''
Tippett did not make an announcement yesterday because he did not want it to overshadow the Crows' best and fairest function, held last night.

Tippett's manager, Peter Blucher, said the player's preference was for a decision to be revealed today. ''Wherever he goes, he will be happy,'' he said.

Well finally his manager has named the day anyhow, if as they are suggesting it's to be the Swans, get set for a bumpy ride cause there is no way they aren't going to have put up a pretty decent offer to get this done.

Kurt thinks he is bigger than our club b and f?

Think again numbnuts
