oh before i go adelaide is trying hard for a player from Essendon.
I think its Pears but could be Hooker not sure, just told its from Essendon.
They are spuds, we turned down a bundle of BOTH of them for Caddy, while I think Tippett is over rated he has more value than caddy

Bit OTT. And precisely why you'll lose Tippett if you're not careful. This is one time when the deal needs to be fair to both clubs... this isn't Eddie you know...

Swans aren't the ones actually losing KT and have to be careful (we just won a premiership don't you know ;) ), if Adelaide FC are too precious/greedy no deal will be done and KT will go into the draft and probably end up at one of the fledgling clubs for nothing. Swans want KT for sure, but if the deal falls through the biggest loss will be to the Crows, to KT and then swans (only a potential loss BTW) in that order. If Swans don't get KT they'll have plenty of cash to throw around due to the money freed up because of the highly paid senior players who've left in recent years (let alone if Jude Bolton retires).

What about St Kilda at pick 12?

Would Adelaide consider Pick 12 + a sweetener enough?
Depends on the sweetener. Pick 12 would be hard to swallow but if it was in combination with a good young player that would fill a need for us (and be in our best 22) then it would probably be around the mark.

Parker for pick 12 wont happen

to get pick 12 from St Kilda you would need to offer a top 10 player and this is what you and your swan cronnies are missing

your club CEO & Coach have offered Kurt a game changing deal that he could not refuse and a deal that suggest that your CEO and Coach rate Kurt a lot higher than your supporters

with this in mind the only way Kurt will end up in red or white is if your club put together a deal that pleases Adelaide and it needs to be alot beteer than pick 22 + fringe player otherwise Kurt's hand will be forced to look at GC and Brisbane again

Given that Kennedy has yet to sign - and he is a player of roughly equivalent value to Tippett - I'm thinking we're probably looking at a 3-way trade.
Kennedy -> Team X
Tippett -> Sydney
???? -> Adelaide

???? = Roughead and X = Hawthorn makes a lot of sense, but it's only one possibility.

I would offer Kennedy what we were paying Skurt, even if we have no real chance of snaring him, at least Sydney and even the Hawks would have to offer the same or more to keep or get him and that might bust their salary cap and no longer be able to off our million dollar baby his share.

Parker + 22 to the Dogs
Pick 6 to Adelaide
Tippett to Sydney

Is that a reasonable deal?

Sounds too generous to me and probably not generous enough to crows supporters, so maybe it is a reasonable deal. Let's just say I wouldn't be losing sleep over it if the above was the deal and it fell through at the 11th hour.

Jed Lamb, Jesse White, Andrejs Everitt. Those are the players we could offer, so admittedly not much but better than Pick 22 + Grundy.

Sure we lose if Tip$tick goes to the PSD but really we free up 800k we have replacements that while not at his standard yet have all the skills to be as good. We don't get a early pick from the trade but the big looser would be kurtly and his noob of a manager. I could see Sheedy picking him up before the GC.

lets cut to the chase

1. your club CEO and Coach obviously rate Kurt alot higher than your supporters
2. your club CEO and Coach put a game changing offer to Kurt knowing that it will need to be backed up by a suitable trade
3. PSD will not be an option to Kurt, the option to go back to plan A (Qld club) would suit both Kurt & Crows

with this in mind many Premiership coaches have gone on record stating they regretted not trading aggressively after winning a flag yhis is why very few clubs go back to back

regardless for Syd to land Kurt it will come at a cost and if a trade cant be sorted I think you find that Kurt will agree to a alternative trade back to Qld rather risking going to GWS

I don't think there is anything greedy about expecting fair compensation for our highest paid player. Personally, I'd rather lose Tippett for nothing to a fledgling club than accept a can of coke and a half eaten sandwich in a trade, whilst making one of our main rivals for next years flag stronger than they already are. Fortunately, we have a couple of players who may be able to adequately fill Tippett's role, and failing that, we have the best young KPF in the competition anyway.

You may be forgetting that we will now have over $1m free in our salary cap too. Who know's, this trade me just end up fracturing that famous Swans culture, and leave a couple of players feeling under appreciated who may just end up looking for a change of scenery. ;)

PSD for me. Time to show these player managers its not worth risking their clients future by trying to screw Adelaide. Much would be gained from this. Otherwise we leave ourselves open to future raids by these vultures. Cmon AFC, play this tough. It's time to send Kurt to GWS.

Agreed - but White does need to be more careful - posting board passes at a time when Adelaide and Sydney are commencing trade negotiations is a bit clueless.

Go easy on the bloke, not really a common act to stop and think of the ramifications of posting a pic of a boarding pass. And take into account he probably didn't even realize Tippett's nomination and wouldn't like to think of himself as a possible trade.

Not if we get a very good deal.

But as Faith has indicated, it doesn't seem we are that way inclined which sucks.

I say do what the Hawks and Doggies did several years ago with the deal known as the "Veale Deal". Don't deal with the Swans, send Tippet to the draft, swap a donkey for the player you guys want from the GC, and GC get Tippet in the pre season draft. GC are happy, you guys are happy and the Swannies miss out!!

GWS have said they do not want Tippet as they have Cameron and Patton - so no need to worry about them guys at pick 1.

Good strategy to have up your sleeve any way!! Good luck, hope you guys get compensated as you's have lost some top KPP over last few years in Bock, Davis, Gunston, now Tippett and you guys are still gong strong, which is the sign of a good club.

Who were the players involved?

Look, I just finished carding several Swans posters for suggestions not much more ludicrous than this one. For some reason I'm going to go easy on you.

All opposition supporters, take note. Please don't come on here and offer these kinds of "quantity = quality" trade suggestions.

yeah, you need to add more spuds. seaby and jesse white need to be added.

I wonder if Travis Varcoe could have anything to do with the trade? Fits a need for us with outside speed and guessing would have a good relationship with Sando..
Fairly sure he may be out of contract

Varcoe would definitely meet our needs for a speedy midfield/forward.

Doubt Cats would release him, but worth enquiring!

Totally unrelated, and quite selfish but...All the best guys at AFC. I'm intoxicated but hope it works out for you with this deal...I'm out of here now that the Suns are not apart of it.

Wouldn't be too sure about that just yet mate!!
