you cant get him in the PSD, and you arent willing to trade anything of value. essentially all your club has done is **** up trade weeks for everyone else.

you have offerred a player a contract, before establishing if terms could be reached to get him there, that is either hubris or douchebaggery of the highest order.
Can't or won't get him in the PSD? Nobody knows yet...IF he makes it that far.

We have offered him a contract, yes, because he is out of contract. Both our clubs are trying to negotiate through this process as best they can, given the circumstances. Making us out to be the "bad guys" is easy, but it's not accurate. You can call us all the names under the sun, but it doesn't mitigate the errors made by your own club in all of this mess.

I wish it was over one way or another. Trade him to someone else, I don't care. Problem is, we aren't the ones who need convincing on this.

On the Swans board they seem to think that the only reason for the hold up is Jesse White's contract price and that if Sydney agree to pay White's salary that we'll sign off on the deal.

I pray that this is not the case.

If the rumours are true they can't afford to keep white and pay Tippett the $1mill a year. This is why the crows are forcing their hand.

Where is the Kudos for Trigg? You are all happy to sink the boots into him but it seems he is the one bringing these issues to the surface and forcing Sydney's hand. He is one that vetoed the trade last Friday.

Apparently the AFC were a toothless tiger and had no backbone according to most of you.

just adding to my last post. Muppet has more to loose. He faces the PSD where he will have to live with his lot day in day out (hopefully at GWS :)) whereas AFC will be able to put this behind it even if we get zip.

Yeah but everyone's been laughing at Wallet for years, the man's an idiot and has zero idea about trading. Look at the mess he made at Richmond.

Two words: Jordan Mcmahon.

He's not the only one laughing at Sydney's offer. It's pathetic. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it. I'd prefer to take nothing if it meant Tippett ended up somewhere else.

I think Crows fans need to realise the difference between fairness and reality.

Look at this situation from a Swans perspective, why would we want to give you more than what we're offering?
It's pretty clear the Swans recruitment team have sat down and said, "We want Tippett. We have some spare money so let's entice Kurt with that. However, we don't want to lose our premiership team we've created at the expense of getting Tippett, so let's make our maximum offer Pick 23 and a pick of any of our fringe players. If another club comes in and takes him with a greater offer than that, then so be it."

In all these heated discussions, I fail to realise why the Swans are coming under the pump. You guys should be most angry at Kurt for being so stubborn to only want to come to Sydney.

Because your acting unfairly, in fact to use the name of one of our Suns players in vain, your acting like campaigner(s)

It isn't the end of Friday yet

Yes but people were willing to dish out the abuse before the trade period was over why not a bit the other way?

Personally, cause White's name is still getting mentioned, which makes me nervous.

3 days to go.

We're under 70 hours of this crap to go.

If we end up with Pick 23 and White, I will be pissed becasue we are3 getting bent over and they could have done this weeks ago.

I'm going to go on record now as saying that if the outcome is us getting bent over - we have every right to bitch and complain.

To be frank I've been a bit annoyed at some posteres saying 'its not over yet' etc when others have expressed their concerns for their view of the worst outcome.

what were our errors? taking tippett at his word that he hadnt made a decision and would revisit the contract at the end of the year?

Cant/wont you have a point but its semantics, its still not a strong option for you. if you dont want him enough to trade anything of value its irresponsible to make such a substatial offer to the player (if youre going to play him next year someones playing in the 2s btw)

You want him enough to pay him more than any other player on your list, but not enough to trade anything of ANY value makes a mockery of the system and if you want you can claim the club is trying to get the best deal, but you are a LONG way from being able to claim any moral high ground here

To be fair, for the most part it hasn't been posters expressing concern, but rather speaking about the deal as though it's already done. It's not.

Once it's done, if it's terrible, then people should be complaining about it. And if you're not happy about the process, you can complain about that too.

But don't complain about a deal happening if it hasn't actually happened yet.

To be fair, if some people hasn't spoken up at the disgusted of this deal, we could well have pick 23 and Jessie white on our books right now.

There's a difference there. We were complaining about the prospect of getting 23 + White. And fair enough too, it's a terrible deal.

But the outrage was about the possibility of getting that return, rather than saying "Adelaide are terrible negotiators because we will get 23 + White". Until they sign off on the deal, it's not really fair to hold the Adelaide staffers accountable for a hypothetical decision.

Certainly, we should be making all the noise we can about how terrible that decision would be.

If that was true surely Sydney would just offload White to any club for a token 4th round draft pick just to free up the cap space.

Can anyone tell me why we are trying to get Sydney to pay Whites salary? I'm not sure where the rumour has come from but several people seem to be saying it. Surely we have more cap room than Sydney so I can't see why we would be doing it. Could it be that we have another trade brewing that we need cap space for or is it simply that Trigg want's to look like he has got us a better deal.

Its a manouvre, trying to work out the Swans position

He might be an idiot, but he seems switched on enough to know that pick 23 and White is an absolute joke.
