At least the possibility of him suing Crows has gone.
After the Crows fessed to the AFL the trade was taken out of their hands - they could not have honoured the contract even if they wanted to.
With that the possibility for breaching contract also vanished, no?
I am keen to hear more about KT telling other clubs he would retire if picked.
If this is true surely the AFL will squash him like a bug.
Trying to rort the Crows is one thing but the AFL just would not stand for that and I would expect him to be either deregistered or Swans banned from picking him up.
This was the tactic which delivered Chris Tarrant from Freo back to Collingwood. Exactly the same. The AFL did nothing. I assume, if true, its why Tippett will use it now.
It would seem then the only way it wont work if if the AFL , in the current climate, is a little more sensitive to players and clubs ignoring the rules
