i really wanna give the 20,000 prize next season in the herald sun one so could someone give me some good tips please :)

I recommend studying the Trades and the Draft in particular, because thats where you can get your trump cards.

Patrick Bowden springs to mind, very cheap at the start, drafted him to the bench simply to fill the spots. Eventually he got to a great position and i managed to trade him for Brad Johnson!

Did you play in 2006. If so look at where your weaknesses were, what mistakes you made and try not to do the same things again. And as LH15 says - STUDY. If you don't have a decent understanding of each club's playing list you've got no chance. You can't fluke winning Dreamteam or Supercoach. You need a good team from round 1 and you have to manage it and trade wisely for 22 rounds.

Not a fan of that idea, could cost you just by following it.

A tip I heard mentioned else where is to try and pick players that will score evenly over the year but not many others will pick. Everyone goes for Judd, Cox, Hodge, J.Bowden and players like that and everyine gets the same base scores the trick is to find mid level players that are ready to step up draft them early and then wait, too many times people get impaitient with a player who has a couple of bad games and then they come back and score a heap the week or so after you trade them

i think brennan for the lions will do quite well next year, so ill be drafting him on his PM performances

and study the stats in the pratise matches and nab cup.

If you dont have gibbs, dont reckon you can win next yr.

Wont start too many others in my 22, but my 8 on the bench will all be draftess this yr or last by the look of it.

BTW, with the idea of pick a consistent team of players who are not the regulars -great idea, but make sure the players you feel will finish top 10 overall are picked.

For mine Hodge is a must next year.

If Judd and Brown play all year, they are aswell.

You cant sacrifice 120 point games, because as you said, everyone else will be taking them.

Simple tip.

The harder u study the better u will do.

And after each year u have played fantasy footy the better u get. The more tricks u pick up.

this year was my first real season of taking it seriously and I went from the mid 3000's to top 500, and now have started planning for next year almost straight away. Aiming for top 100 this year.

Tips for a good team?

Your team should be based on who you think will improve from last season. How you go about doing this is up to you.

Consider this example:

* Player A is a forward who plays for a team which has a crap midfield. He hardly gets an opportunity to mark the ball or kick any goals. Hes traded to a team that has a crap / injured forwardline but a promising midfield that can win the ball and kick straight.

Player A is inclined to improve a crap load as he will have far more opportunities to get his stats.

Only if he can kick straight

Wouldnt say Fremantles forward line is bad. If anything Tarrant is coming into a side with similar standard of midfields but a much much beter foward line. He will still do very well i think becuase Pav will get the number one and in some cases number two back men.

ive got a question, will Jonathon Brown, Chris Judd etc still be at the same price as what they finished last year? cos they ended up being about 800,000

Didnt Judd finish up high 500,000? I have no doubt that Brown will be the most expensive but if he can get through preseason perfectly i will get him forsure, his average will be huge:thumbsu:
