Melbourne vs St Kilda - tough one to pick, could be a cracker of a season opener, or Melbourne might fall in a heap this year starting wioth this game. Without Grant Thomas the Saints should be good this year.
Fremantle vs Port Adelaide - at Subi, 'nuff said
Kangaroos vs Collingwood - the lowlight of the round, both sides start the year looking at draft picks
Brisbane vs Hawthorn - Brisbane won't be great this year, but the Hawk revival looks like being 2008, not 2007 (at the start of 2006 I thought they would struggle and come good this year, the signs of recovery just weren't strong enough to convince me to stick with that)
Sydney vs West Coast - reigning premiers with backs to the wall in round one, they will be fired up
Adelaide vs Essendon - no-brainer of the week, and that goers for both sets of supporters as much as the tipping
Western Bulldogs vs Geelong - could go either way, but early in the season the Dogs will run too hard
Carlton vs Richmond - the real season will see the real Carlton emerge

wouldn't go into the game underestimating us though.

I certainly aren't, i'm very nervous about Saturday. Although i think we will win there is always a concern especially in round one with the Wizz and MJ out.
It wont be a massive Dockers IMO, we will not give Port a flogging like many predict IMO.

Hmmm alot of tips going against Collingwood.

What are the reasons why?

IMO No Thompson up forward, the kangaroos are stuck with one dimensional forward line players such as Shannon Grant and Brent Harvey who can be completely taken out of the picture by James Clement and Co.

I think a lot here are tipping against the Saints bcoz of the MCG factor. Fair enough, but we have M. Clarke in the ruck and a midfield that is actually fit and faster. These were two areas lacking on our last two meetings.

Plus we have virtually a full list to pick from and saints dont. Dont under estimate our midfield mate. Johnstone, Bruce, Mcdonald, Mclean, Green, Jones, Bate, possibly Moloney, and stints from Davey. Pretty good if you ask me.

So point out where I am underestimating anything! Who do you think won't be playing for the Saints? Unlike the last time we met, Saints aren't injury ridden. A fit Hayes, Ball, Harvey, Dal Santo, X Clarke doesn't sound too bad to start with, plus the added bonus of a top tap ruckman. White won't be able to dictate terms like he did. I reckon Saints will win.
