Tips for Round 1

Plus we have virtually a full list to pick from and saints dont. Dont under estimate our midfield mate. Johnstone, Bruce, Mcdonald, Mclean, Green, Jones, Bate, possibly Moloney, and stints from Davey. Pretty good if you ask me.
i'd go as far as saying that midfield is as good as west coasts. johnstone, mcdonald, green are all majorly under-rated. Gee, pretty good? if I was a melbourne supporter id be excited. btw, mclean for the browlow, get on it!

Melbourne Vs St Kilda - Melbourne by 13 Points
Kangaroos Vs Collingwood - Collingwood by 10 Points
Fremantle Vs Port Adelaide - Port by 14 Points
Brisbane Vs Hawthorn - Brisbane by 15 Points
Sydney Vs West Coast - Sydney by 20 Points
Adelaide Vs Essendon - Adelaide by 30 Points
Bulldogs Vs Geelong - Bulldogs by 22 Points
Carlton Vs Richmond - Richmond by 14 Points

Melbourne vs St Kilda - tough one to pick, could be a cracker of a season opener, or Melbourne might fall in a heap this year starting wioth this game. Without Grant Thomas the Saints should be good this year.
Fremantle vs Port Adelaide - at Subi, 'nuff said
Kangaroos vs Collingwood - the lowlight of the round, both sides start the year looking at draft picks
Brisbane vs Hawthorn - Brisbane won't be great this year, but the Hawk revival looks like being 2008, not 2007 (at the start of 2006 I thought they would struggle and come good this year, the signs of recovery just weren't strong enough to convince me to stick with that)
Sydney vs West Coast - reigning premiers with backs to the wall in round one, they will be fired up
Adelaide vs Essendon - no-brainer of the week, and that goers for both sets of supporters as much as the tipping
Western Bulldogs vs Geelong - could go either way, but early in the season the Dogs will run too hard
Carlton vs Richmond - the real season will see the real Carlton emerge

Hasn't stopped us in the past.. have a look at the records.. we win at subi more then Eagles and Freo do. Not bad odds.. should chuck some money on, im confident.

You did, a few years back. Freo have won their last two at Subi against Port, though Port did win the three before that. Freo are now are far better team than 2001-2004, while Port clearly are no longer premiership material.
If I'm proven wrong, I'm proven wrong. It happens when you tip. But based on the evidence, Freo have to be favourites.

As a dons support a bit shocked at the margains that people have punted against us, dont get me wrong Adelaide are a better team but at this stage of the season with essendon having 3 extra weeks of preseason training and them having Captain Ricciuto and 2nd highest (i think) goal kicker in Ken Mcgregor out, Plus the inclusion of Mal Micheal who can help with there power forwards in Biglands and Thompson should be a close incounter. Adelaide by less than 25

Hmmm alot of tips going against Collingwood.

What are the reasons why?

IMO No Thompson up forward, the kangaroos are stuck with one dimensional forward line players such as Shannon Grant and Brent Harvey who can be completely taken out of the picture by James Clement and Co.

Ah another deluded Collingwood fan... never!
No Buckley, Tarrant, Didak, Rusling.
Who is going to kick the goals?

Rubbish.
North by 23. (Daniel Wells to absolutely burn it up)
Rest of the tips:
Demons by 45.
Eagles by 21.
Cats by 13.
Crows by 54.
Dockers by 26.
Blues by 46.
Lions by 12.

Melbourne vs St Kilda - Injuries and and generally have the saints matched up.

Fremantle vs Port Adelaide - Dockers at home all class.

Kangaroos vs Collingwood - 'Roos to start well early as usual.

Brisbane vs Hawthorn - Upset for the round.

Sydney vs West Coast - While W/C will want to get into the real stuff with a win I just cant see them getting over the line.

Adelaide vs Essendon - Adelaide, obviously.

Western Bulldogs vs Geelong - Tough call. Doggies, just.

Carlton vs Richmond - More class. Carlton still too inexperienced.

Melbourne at home at the MCG v. Dome friendly St.Kilda. Still too early to tell about Ross Lyon at St.Kilda.

Kangaroos always starts seasons strong, been training since October and are hungry, and they are my gf's club who I'm now a member of...Collingwood is just hype each year.

Freo at home over Port, nuff said.

Sydney always start the season slow, this GF re-match should be in Round 7 once the clubs have got a few games under their belts, first win the West Coast at Telstra Stadium, hoping for no lightening this time around. Eagles by 3 or 4 goals.

Lions over Hawthorn on home turf.

Crows easy over the Dons.

Tight contest, but Dogs at home over the Cats at the Dome.

Wallace's Tigers have been flogged in the opening game the last two years, although I do see them improving this year, threatening 7th or 8th place finish. Carlton's pre-season honeymoon to continue for atleast one more week.

Melbourne by 6 goals
Fremantle by 4 goals
Kangaroos by 12 goals
Hawthorn by 2 goals
Sydney by 3 goals
Adelaide by 15 goals
Western Bulldogs by 4 goals
Carlton by 2 goals

Melbourne vs St Kilda....Dees by plenty....Saints arnt an issue till rnd 8ish
Fremantle vs Port Adelaide...good game...freo too good at home this time.
Kangaroos vs Collingwood....pies have nothing....roos have desperation.
Brisbane vs Hawthorn....Lions by 6 goals
Sydney vs West Coast....Syd by 5pts...sequence to continue
Adelaide vs Essendon ......Crows by 12 goals
Western Bulldogs vs Geelong...lottery...Geelong more desperate early in season...cats by 10pts.
Carlton vs Richmond...richmond look extraordinarily average...Carlton are confident...Blues by 30pts
