1st round with descriptions NO descriptions for 2nd round. Also heights may not be right.

Round 1
1. Gold Coast- David Swallow:
Height: 186cm, Weight: 83kg, DOB: 19/11/1992
- Best Available

2. Gold Coast- Sam Day:
Height: 195cm, Weight: 90kg, DOB: 6.09.1992
- Best Available

3. Gold Coast- Harley Bennel:
Height: 180cm, Weight: 70kg, DOB: 2.10.1992
-Best Available

4. West Coast Eagles- Dyson Heppel:
Height: 186cm, Weight: 82kg, DOB: 9/01/1992]
- Was out of him and Polec. He really just ticks a lot of boxes. Great long penetrating kick, good mark, good endurance, and good speed, very clean, reads the play well and is very athletic. Is good one on one and knows how to create.

5. Brisbane- Jared Polec:
Height: 188cm, Weight: 77kg, DOB: 12/10/1992
- With Heppel being gone it was out of him and Gaff. The reason for over looking Gaff was I think Polec has a heap of upside and can win you a game. He has a good long penetrating kick though occasionally sprays one, great mark, very clean, seems to have a fair bit of time, is a proven goal kicker and would most likely have the best evasive skills in the draft. The question marks hanging over him though are he has not much of a right foot and his inability to find a lot of the ball.

6. Richmond- Andrew Gaff:
- Height: 183cm, Weight: 78kg, DOB: 16/06/1992
Good is most areas though he tends to get most of his ball in the backline. Gaff has good foot skills and great decision making, he runs hard and has great endurance, can kick goals though you most likely wouldn’t be able to win a game for you, however has good link up play and gets team mates into the game.

7. Gold Coast- Josh Caddy:
- Height: 186cm, Weight: 81kg, DOB: 28/09/1992
Was going to take Gorringe until Gold Coast took Hickey with one of their zone selections. Caddy is a tough inside mid who is good kick but not the best, he has great hands and is good around goals. He doesn’t have a lot of upside and I doubt he’d be able to win you a game. The real question mark about him are if he will be able to bust through the AFL players like he does to the under 18’s, though Dustin Martin didn’t have a problem with that soI’m a fairly confident Caddy won’t either.

8. Essendon- Daniel Gorringe:
- Height: 200cm, Weight: 85kg, DOB: 02/06/1992
Gorringe is the best ruckmen in the under 18’s comp. He has great tap work and is extremely athletic and when out of the field is just like another midfielder and is above standard kick. The real question mark over him is will he be able to dominate the ruck at AFL level.

9. Gold Coast- Tom Lynch:
- Height: 199cm, Weight: 86kg, DOB: 31/10/1992
Tom has a lot of potential and could become the best CHF in the comp. His very athletic and great below his knees, has great endurance and has a good set of hands. His field kick and goal kicking are good, applies plenty of defensive pressure and with the new sub rule coming in it should bring his stocks up come draft time. I’m not saying he is a good ruckmen I’m just referring to his height.

10. Gold Coast- Shaun Atley:
- Height: 187cm, Weight: 82kg, DOB: 13/09/1992
Shaun is line breaker and his great in traffic which he can also bust through. He’s a good mark but a suspect kick. Would have gone higher if his kicking was more on the elite side.

11. Gold Coast- Kieran Harper:
- Height: 187cm, Weight: 78kg, DOB: 5/06/1992
Has enormous potential and I considered him for pick 6. Has an eye for goal and he can win you a game, applies defensive pressure and loves to tackle and sheppard, from what I’ve seen he has good work ethic and try’s to bring himself into the game. He has good skills and is a very good mark.

12. Melbourne- Jack Darling:
- Height: 190cm, Weight: 86kg, DOB: 16.6.1992
Whilst I don’t rate him at this pick I think he would work well with Jack Watts and the rest of the Melbourne forward line. Jack is a team player who likes to break packs, he has good athleticism and is a nice set shot for goal. He can also go into the middle and do alright there. Question marks over his alibility on being able too dominate in the AFL.

13. Gold Coast- Matt Watson:
- Height: 194cm, Weight: 99kg, DOB: 16/07/1992
Another close to sure bet player. Matt should be ready from day dot to step into the AFL. He reads the play extremely well and regularly beat his opponent either one on one or on the lead. Matt has a very nice left foot which he can kick 60 meters on and when he has the ball he seems to have plenty of time and makes the right decision going forward.

14. Adelaide- Billie Smedts:
- Height: 187cm, Weight: 77kg, DOB: 08/06/1992
Billie is my favourite player of the draft when he has the ball he is just so clean and uses the ball very well while making the right decision. He knows when to leave his man and help out another team mate and knows to when to run of his man. He seems to have plenty of time when the ball is in his hands and is a good mark. He athletically is very good and he also has the ability to go forward and kick a goal or two.

15. Geelong- Luke Parker:
- Height: 182cm, Weight: 82kg, DOB: 25/10/1992
Parker has great core strength and regularly feeds the ball out to teammates. His good kick but not elite and the best part of his game is his contested marking. He knows how to kick a goal and loves to tackle. Only problem for me doesn’t seem to find much of the ball and tends to go missing.

16. Port Adelaide- Brodie Smith:
- Height: 188cm, Weight: 79kg, DOB: 14/01/1992
Smith could be one of two things: an average half back flanker or great midfielder. He is a clearance machine who can kick 50 metres on both feet. He knows where to position himself for a mark and the thing he does best is burst out of packs.

17. North Melbourne- Jayden Pitt:
- Height: 187cm, Weight: 70kg, DOB: 07/10/1992
Pitt is an attacking wingman who is strong overhead and is a very neat kick. He can kick on both sides of his body and he knows where to be to crumb a goal. The question marks I have over him are his intensity and awareness from behind (this is from the televised under 18 game).

18. Carlton- Pat McCarthy:
- Height: 194cm, Weight: 79kg, DOB: 11/03/1992
Reads the play extremely well and disposes it very good for a big man. Is agile but doesn’t have the greatest pace but makes up for it because of his ability to read the play. The biggest problem Carlton taking McCarthy is he will need a couple of season’s to fill out but for him to last this long means to potently got a very good CHB for years to come.

19. Hawthorn- Seb Tape:
- Height: 189cm, Weight: 78kg, DOB: 06/08/1992
If this guy was 2cm Taller he’d be a top 10 candidate. His good in the air, helps teammates out being a third tall, Is courageous, very athletic, reads the play well and when he has the ball makes it count also mixes up defence with attack.

20. Fremantle- Reece Conca:
-Height: 182cm, Weight: 75kg, DOB: 12.8.1992
Conca is solid in every aspect of his game. He hits targets, is tough, has repeat efforts and is strong in the air as well being a leader.

21. Sydney- Jed Lamb:
-Height: 182cm, Weight: 77kg, DOB: 23/08/1992
Lamb is half forward flanker who is a good kick on both sides of his body and is also a very good mark. He has the ability to play both midfield and on the forward flank, he applies defensive pressure and is very clever around goals.

22. Western Bulldogs - Mitch Wallis:
-Height: 185cm, Weight: 79kg, DOB: 24/10/1992

23. Geelong- Dion Prestia:
-Height: 175cm, Weight: 81kg, DOB: 12/10/1992
Dion can kick 60 meters on both feet and has good handball skills. He can play inside or out and regularly comes out of packs with the ball. He can kick a goal is a good mark for his height but isn’t overly fast though tends to get away from his opponents. If he was 7 cm taller and hadn’t had many injuries this year I feel he’d be a least a top 10 pick maybe even top 5.

24. St Kilda- Ben Jacobs:
-Height: 186cm, Weight: 82kg, DOB: 9/01/1992
Ben is a great long kick who finds plenty of the ball in the backline his a good mark and reads the play well. His ok athletically but not great. The only question marks for me are he struggles to find the ball when not playing on the back flank and he is unaccountable defensively.

25. Brisbane- Josh Green:
-Height: 179cm, Weight: 78kg, DOB: 24/08/1992
Green is an 80 meter player as he runs 20 and kicks 60 which will help penetrate zones when in the afl he should also be able to play early on. He is good around goal and can kick them from the boundary he also knows how to find the ball. He works hard and is a nice left foot kick and is quick. Only question mark for him is he tends to go long too often.

Priority Pick
26. West Coast Eagles- Lucas Cook:
-Height: 194cm, Weight: 82kg, DOB: 03/03/1992

Round 2
27. North melbourne- Isaac Smith
28. Brisbane Lions- George Horlin-Smith-
29. West Coast Eagles-Tyler Chalwell
30. Richmond- Scott Lycett
31. Essendon- Mitch Hallahan
32. Brisbane Lions- Alex Fasolo
33. Melbourne- Warrick Andreoli
34. Carlton- Luke Mitchell
35. Port Adelaide- Cameron Guthrie
36. Port Adelaide- Ben Newton
37. Geelong- Jamie Cripps
38. Hawthorn- Cameron O’shea
39. Gold Coast - Aaron Young
40. Sydney- Patrick Karnezis
41. Western Bulldogs - Tom Liberatore

43. St Kilda- Viv Michie
44. Fremantle - Sam Crocker

First two picks are great, McCarthy and Mitchell would give us 2 talented KPP at both ends of the ground. Pick 42, Darcy Barden, is an especially ordinary choice considering the first two. I consider Barden a rookie choice anyway and would much prefer someone like Viv Mitchie who would add some more pace to the line up. I'd even consider reaching for Sewell to give us depth as he could be taken before our next pick which I believe is being used on a mature age KPP (not sure who but there are whispers on our board).

Hate it, sorry. Atley at 8 please and I have doubts on Hallahan.

Fair enough i just feel that with hille getting on and patty ryder's ability to play anywhere.Having gorringe and ryder would be a great combination.

And i feel hallahan would really help watson.

Well, we all like to slip our own team a bargain lol.

I did it myself by slightly slipping Aaron Young, who i like, to Carlton at #42.

But Scott Lycett to your club at #30 is a tad extreme.

Im not the only person having lycett going here and while i rate him a first rounder i believe there arent to many teams that are in much need for a ruckman in saying this he could go to geelong or saints.

And to the carlton supporters not wanting Barden i have him going to you guy's as i think you could have a collingwood type forward line structure involving Henderson-CHF,Mitchell-FULL FORWARD,Barden-PLAYING IN BETWEEN.

We do have Bellchambers. We will grab a ruck somewhere in this draft, but I hope like hell we don't waste pick 8 on one. I'd rather go down the Collingwood/Sydney path in trading in a ruckman when our window opens. Atley helps us adress a more pressing need. I'd rather Warrick Andreoli or Guthrie at 31. I don't mind Hallahan but not sure he should be picked ahead of the other two for our club.

I think Hirdy has made it pretty clear we won't be drafting a ruck at #8.... mids are what we desperately need.

There are a couple of rucks we will look at either late in the draft... or dont be surprised if Simon Taylor's name gets read out in the PSD....

No to Parker, we need speed and ball users over ball winners, we have enough of the latter. Prestia or Cripps or Green or ISmith would be a better fit if we don't go tall at that pick.

Fair enough i just like Parker so that's the only reason i have him really going there. Though when Bartel retires he would replace him but Bartel wont retire for a while.

Didin't no hird had came out and said you were going to get a mid. Also i remeber an article in the paper saying you were interested in gorringe.
