Can someone explain the "Ricky O" statement... It has totally got me lost... never heard of it before...

It said due to AFL rules in which we had to deal a player from collinwood for the number 8 pick we picked up Ricky Olaranshaw.

So because it was collingwoods pick and they traded that to Freo for Holland and Clement then it was on traded to nth as part of the Bell deal, collingwood and north had to deal for 1 more collingwood player to be within AFL guidelines..

.....and yes i am also a North member!!!!

and that player was olarenshaw

In plain English:
Ricky O was actually found drunk in a local pub by Dennis Pagan. Dunno why Pagan was there but he was. Apparently Ricky was disturbed and a bit angry at the way Pagan and the club treated him. No punishments were made. I'm a close friend with Ricky's cousin and that's what he told me.

im a friend of ricky's myself, he grew up around the corner from me
i havent spoken to him since the trade period but he told me earlier that coll werent going to renew his contract and if he didnt get another shot at footy he was going to play district cricket for footscray, his girlfriend is rohan larkins sister who captains the doggies
ricky becoming an umpire was just a little bit beat up by the press, he said it was something he would consider after football but wouldnt give up football to do it
