Him and Preuss in the same side won't work i don't think and if North don't play Preuss next year they will lose him. So either they convince Goldstein to move this trade period (and i doubt he will want a pay cut on his 800k) or they play him a lot in the 2s next year.

It worked well today.

We won the centre clearances 23 to 9 and the stoppages 8 to 4, with Preuss taking 3 contested inside 50 marks and booting 2 goals resting forward.

We just need more from Goldy around the ground. Preuss doesn't have the tank to go one out.

I understand that the BF buzzards are circling for a cheap carcass, but I doubt the club would release him for peanuts. They would be better off keeping him another season and hoping he turns it around.

What can we do? The die is cast. We just have to plug away and hope he finds his touch.

Pruess's emergence as a marking foward alongside Brown will help ease the load.

It'd only be if Mumford pulls the plug this year, which I don't expect him to. He's not as good a tap ruckman, but double the tackles is what GWS is looking for.

Question for Norths follower, is he carrying injuries - Dean Cox had a couple of down seasons & was carrying injuries - I rank Goldy, whats the go?

Off-field issues seemed to have completely destroyed his form. Apparently has no injuries to speak of.

More like 3 plus Anderson for Gaff. Goldie for the Eagles 2ND rounder. You totally ingored the 2nd round pick to Norths in the deal.

Gaff ex pick 4 now with AA credentials and consistent form line. Norths have inside mids covered and wuality outside run.

Pick 3 doesnt guarantee a A grade player. Just ask any Eagles fan, Masten was pick 3.

Would add Masten as steak knives. :)

Doesn't fit the way the club is going atm in terms of talent. There's a reason why we are looking at Kelly, Ahern and even Dusty, who has a number of years left.

NOBODY would give pick 3 for Gaff!!!!
WCE can't afford to lose Gaff knowing that Mitchell and Priddis won't be there next year. That would result in a brand new midfield for 2018.
With Nic Nat back next year, why would WCE wan't another ruck, let alone an expensive one like Goldstein...? You already have NN, Lycett, Vardy and Petrie on the list, can't afford another spot for another ruck. May as well keep Dish on for another year.

Agree on the not wanting Goldstein part.

Naitanui and Goldstein wouldn't be able to play in the same team together. The only reason Naitanui and Cox worked was Cox was able to go forward late in his career and be a goal kicker.

Getting Goldstein as depth as Obeanie has also suggested wouldn't work either as he's on way too much coin.

Would be very surprised if the Eagles are one of the suitors for Goldstein.

ehh he is at afl level missed one game.
kruzer has showed you can turn it around pretty fast if the desire is there.

Giles an currie are still on afl lists. so goldy as depth is good for a weak list like norths going into 2018
