Yeah it's great for discussion. But you rated them a 7 in your post. They lost 1 game all tournament to the world's best, in which we got up by 15 points. First ever medal. It's gotta be a 9.

Anything less then 12 gold and 40 medals is a failure so we went pretty well, we can't really compare with USA, China Russia Great Britain we should try and seek improvement from each Olympics, as long as we gong well in swimming we should always meet this target. Hopefully with Peter Bol running in 4th more African kids in Australia are inspired to choose athletics, I very sure we gonna have some canoe /kayak athletes coming through the ranks thanks to Jessica Fox. Ash Maloney being youngest decathlon medalist is very promising and really excited about Mollie O'Callaghan she just broke 200M Freestyle junior record and is like top 5 100m freestyle this year at 17. Any other young stars we should have eye on leading to Paris

Letting them sneak over the top of us hurts.. again. Is it now third Games in succession they have beaten us? We have dropped off in track cycling.. they have not bagging plenty of medals. Without checking I think they outsailed, outrowed/canoed us. They always tend to medal in athletics more than us too. Some good signs for Aussie athletics going forward but a medal these days is cause for celebration. Odd we have never had anywhere near the same success as swimming..where we have always been in the world top three- five. Is it lack of good athletics coaches here.. what is the reason?

We can't be comparing ourselves with Great Britain, with funding, infrastructure and almost triple our population they always gonna beat us at Olympics. However we always beat England at Commonwealth Games

These Olympics have been such a fantastic distraction, back in Lockdown in Melbs, wish they went for a couple more weeks. Been a fantastic two weeks of sport, so many great moments in there, going to miss it.

Ok so the denial has begun, I’m watching athletics full relay on 7+. Just watched the women’s 4x1 relay, didn’t quite realise at the time how close they Jamaica were to stuffing up exchange 1.

Sad it is all over. The last day always sucks. The last event and the last medal is always sad. Congrats to Serbia in the Water Polo.

Kudos to Japan for hosting the most challenging of Olympics. they have done an amazing job that few, if any, could match.

Never forget Sydney's finale. Wife worked for a major sponsor so got to watch the Games live and attend the Closing Ceremony. The greatest moment that will live with me for life were 40K of us waving a lite pen and singing We Are Australian. Goose bump stuff I gotta tell you.
