He'll never be the player Jack Watts has become.

That's my point
This isn't a dig a Port or the Bulldogs or the Hawks. It's about how much these internal suspensions are dictated by the standing the player has in the team.
Boyd currently playing VFL - OK, we can suspend him indefinitely because won't effect the seniors
Krakour gets his jaw broken - OK, he's out for 6 weeks anyway, might aswell 'suspend' him til he's right to go
Hodge - Captain and top 5 in the club - Ok well we need him out there, let's slap him with a wet lettuce leaf
If it was Stringer who got into a fight, doubt we'd see an indefinite suspension
If Krakour's jaw wasn't broken, he wouldn't have gotten six weeks
If Hodge was one of those players in the 20-25 bracket in and out of the seniors, he'd be suspended by the club
and yes Adelaide has form all the way back when Bock clocked his misses and got 1 game suspended by the Crows
It all stinks
Ken has previously said quite publicly that he has chatted to players in quite negative terms for getting suspended before (I recall Westhoff in 2013, Hartlett (can't 2014). If Travis Boak had been suspended twice and then got pinged for DUI, yes I would expect a suspension even if it was a final. Let's be real, if a fringe player did what Hodge did, he would probably be at another club right now. Again Krakour is a pretty good example. By all accounts his only fault was to be drinking while injured and he was slammed by the club.

FaceBook reporting Tom hurt Zaine with a WWE move while drinking and the players tried to cover it up.
Sounds like good fodder for BigFooty photoshoppers if you ask me.
Bulldogs need to implement a No dickhead policy and quick. Starting to worry about the #culture.
Maybe you did- did Collingwood trade 2 1st rd picks + a late pick in return for Treloar and a 2nd rd pick? Did I say any different anywhere? In every post on this, I have said you gave up 2 1st rd picks in return for Treloar and a 2nd round pick. Did you have a 1st rd pick in last years draft? Was your 1st pick Brayden Sier at pick 32? Do you have a 1st round pick in this years draft if you do not trade for one? The answers to the above questions are: No, Yes & No. At no point have I said that Treloar was a straight trade for 2 1st rd picks.maybe you forgot what you said.
How is my quote one eyed bias exactly? I think you should take off your orange goggles on thisPfft such one eyed bias.
If you cant see they are exactly the same then the joke is on you.
Oh wait not the same.
You actually paid Griff for us last year.
Griff actually is best 22 unlike Boyd
And now
Griff hasnt been suspended by the club.
No goggles on. Both were getting out of contracts early and made the clubs go through managers. How is my quote one eyed bias exactly? I think you should take off your orange goggles on this

Well all might expect things, no guarantee to happen despite any previous statements by anybody saying otherwise. Everything's justifiable in the AFL when it becomes about your club, be it fans, players, coaches, admin whoever.
If a difference is to be made in terms of punishments it has to be taken out of clubs hands and come from the AFL. No mitigating circumstances, no defences, no gradings but just set penalties regardless. Imagine the uproar then? But my player wasn't as bad as your player etc etc etc, it's how it is now.
Punish the crime for what it is, not people's opinions of the crime.

Serious? So drunken idiocy not a fight? Still stupid, but better than them coming to blows I guess.
How it gets out![]()
Oh dear... Again, 1 was willing to honour his signed contract. 1 was not. Are those not the facts as they were stated by the clubs and managers? No goggles on. Both were getting out of contracts early and made the clubs go through managers.
To be fair one was because of a multi million dollar long term deal.
The other was because he was over how a certain club was being run.
Hmmmmm actually makes Boyd look worse.
At least when I hear voices, they are real- it's actually people talking to meits been done to death. just keep listening to the voices.
time to move on.
Let me get this straight. With 5000 journos covering afl, we're only learning of the boyd/cordy fiaso after a bulldogs press release? Jesus Christ. These lazy f**kers. Busy obsessing with travis cloke. Do they know where the whitten oval is? Does anonymity make the bulldogs a 'destination club'. They could set up a pretty good witness protection program.

Barrett can go **** himself, he throws us under the bus at every opportunity & this is another he will take. It journos just like him which is why we keep a low profile, it's public knowledge Bev wants to rip him apart. Bottom feeder

I don't mean to be rude ... but Hawthorn have a shit record on off field behaviour. The club basically came out the next day after Clarko's incident and literally said he had done nothing wrong. Dean Brogan was spat on and abused by an Adelaide fan and he was still criticised for belting him by the club. Hodge was suspended twice and pinged for DUI in less than a full season and kept the captaincy. Other clubs have demonstrated leadership in the area, whereas clearly Hawthorn haven't. It is ultimately for the club to decide penalty, but it is pretty transparent when a club like Hawthorn is consistently soft on these sorts of issues.
