Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?

I'm genuinely that scared I just pissed in my pants. So much fear in this thread. Tom is the missing piece in our premiership puzzle and everyone knows it. Opposition supporters simply want him to fail because it is the only way their own teams will be competitive against us over the next decade.

Believe it or not I like the Dogs, always have. I think they have a great young list and I'm happy to admit they are a long way ahead of us. Dogs fans seem to think this is personal attack on their club, truth is, this is a Tom Boyd thread and most are just giving their opinion on him as a player. It's clear a lot of people in the media agree with this. Good luck to the young kid, hopefully he can improve on his weakness' and if he does happen to become an elite forward of the comp I'll happily eat my words.Let's suspend the dogs v saints shitfight for an evening, after all we're all on the same side tonight aren't we?
He's going to be a bloody beauty! So, Darcy Moore, huh?
If it was any other young player in the game , everyone would be saying he's developing nicely.
Boyd is actually due for a haircut LOL. He should be able to afford the best barber in MelbourneMoore vs Boyd. Battle of the Brylcreem forwards.

Do you actually read any of the Saints threads on the main board? They are regularly full of doggies supporters trying to put the boot in so dont pretend its one sided.Man, I love the Saints obsession with us.
Warm fuzzies Ainters!
He's had a pretty consistent season, I'd like to hear what the so-called "non-descript" games are. Also been in the system a number of seasons? He was only drafted in 2011, I think he's one of the most consistent midfielders for his age. Plus where did you get 700k a season from? He's definitely not on that kind of money.Overrated season - had some very good games but also some nondescript games. Not the season of player around the $700k a season mark. Is there much scope for improvement in him, seeing as he has been in the system for a number of years now, is a one-paced mid with questionable disposal and decision-making skills, and still sits behind the likes of Kennedy, Hanneberry and Jack as key mids for the Swans? Would he be able to carry his team's midfield (together with Hanneberry) when Kennedy and Jack finish up? Perhaps, but there's a lower ceiling of improvement than there is for Boyd - the challenge for Boyd is to actually improve which is very much yet to be determined, but there's no denying he has the capacity to improve and do so significantly due to his age and body size/position.
Have you been better with him in the team? Form seems to have dropped off a bit since he returned.
I think a lot of the Boyd v McCartin v Wright comparisons don't quite work anyway. A lot of the time McCartin has Bruce / Riewoldt to take the best defender, Wright has Lynch. Boyd is playing as THE main forward and instantly gets Alex Rance / Daniel Talia / Harry Taylor. Same way that having him in the side means that Stringer / Dickson / Crameri / Bontempelli don't get those guys. It's not just Boyds output, it's the structure changes that his inclusion brings that help the Dogs so much. Similar to when Liam Jones *shudder* managed to snag a few goals when we had Hall.
Does Redpath not count?
He would if he hadn't done his ACL...
I know but he's played one game without him out of two since returning. He was terrible with him against Sam effing Gilbert and played on Lonergan Friday night.
