Loved his work last night, took lot's of mark's from Swan just hacking it forward. Then Davis went forward first Murph cam over the top with a beautiful spoil and then that tackle :D had a great season Murphy, absolutely smashes the small forwards he play's on :thumbsu:

While not a hater, happy to put my hand up and admit I did believe he was not in our best 22, I think he has improved significantly, he is sup important now to out backline structure as he excels against the small-mid size forwards, would still like to see him improve disposal and decision making to take next step

Speak for yourself, mate - your posts are consistently against him.

This will be a short thread - the haters are silent now!

You talk shit mate .....read my posts .......find the word hate......

Big stage, big game....Tommy played out of his skin!:thumbsu:

still not a fan.

I'll throw WX in there too.

Been good all season, Whitecross is a regular in the side great runner beautiful hands for a small, Goal kicking though....:thumbsd:

Cannot believe Tom did not get even one vote last night. I thought he may have won it.

All umpires, including emergency umps are haters. Seeing Tom does not kick many goals I suspect that goal umpires are also haters.

I know, right!!!!
Lucky I saved my money and put it on him for the Peter Crimmons medal instead!
;-)

Well I just looked at the AFL website and he was voted AFL coaches association player of the year!!!!!!
Coaches know quality when they see it.

What do you mean Different Murphy? Surely there is only one.

I agree. Everyone one of those twelve posters before you should calm down. I mean twelve posts!? What is this the 70s!?

When we lost the prelim final I must admit I went nuts and let out a sigh, it's amazing how emotion can lead to the most extreme over reactions.

I mean compared the the 200+ posts of poorly argued Murphy bashing over a few poor disposals or decisions how extreme is it to have a thread with now a bit under 20 posts where a Hawthorn player plays an exceptional game.

Agreed! Phenomenal over-reaction;)

I haven't looked at the article, but off the top of my head it must be Murphy from Carlton.

Now you do need to calm down. Not all posts were poorly argued and not all posts were negative. Murphy played a good game but he was not exceptional. Lewis played an exceptional game. As there was scarcely a small forward on the ground that played well (Rioli and Davis late aside), by definition is defensive efforts were not exceptional. You still wouldn't say he was damaging going forward and while he was better than normal when pealing off to support team mates in spoiling attempts, he wasn't exactly smashing it clear like Gibson against the Swans (that was exceptional). His disposal was much more assured than it was in the Sydney game. So lets celebrate a good game and a good response by Murphy to is poor game against the cats and his poor disposal under pressure against the Swans and hope he continues to improve next season. :thumbsu:
