That's like the rumor that was going around the Carlton board a while ago that stated Tom Scully would be going to the Blues under a father-son like rule, due to his father or something playing for the Blues a long time ago LMFAO! [was something along those lines anyway]

The F/S rule is about the romance of a son playing for the team that he closely associates with his family and his father.

In this case, Scully wouldn't have even known his dad, and he would probably view him poorly as a result, so the positivity that could come from the situation would be non-existent.

It just wouldn't be in the spirit of the rule.

He had a four week knee injury that required a quick arthroscope. Why would he have on-going problems ?

Last night I had a big night out with a few mates & one of the guys who went was the relative of Tom's who attended the family gathering just after draft day (the one where Wattsy slipped on wet tiles)... Last night I was told the biggest concern of Tom's regarding being drafted to Melbourne was "the drinking culture at the club", I was shocked as I have not heard anything of the kind, having spoken to a number of the players during the year.... Have any of you blokes heard anything along those lines???

Another interesting thing was, Tom survived a week living with the Davey clan (heaps of little tackers running around all the time. Apparentely to get a feel for the routine that is required of an AFL player, the recruits were billoted out to senior players...

Did anyone know that happened????
