Some of you need to chill out, be better than geelong supporters.

We dont need to wish injuries on anyone or hope someone evens it up.

Just be content in the fact we win when it really matters.

Also the thread is about Stewart and Prestia

Biggest dog act since?...
It's been a while for one this bad.
And a targeted hit on our most valuable player in the first quarter that they also scored a goal from.
Goes past the ball, targets the head.

intentional, high, severe.
Cya Tom ya dog campaigner.
And he also leaps and turns sideways into the bump. Intention should be the deliberateness of the act itself - not whether he wanted to cause injury. The act is inherently likely to cause injury so you can infer intent to injure. Anyway, what matters should be deterrence of concussion events, not whether the perp intended the concussion. This was one of the most disgusting things I've seen on a football field.

Agree.

It was an intentional action. He admitted he chose to bump. That means he had other options he disregarded. The act of bumping, itself was intentional. The outcome was not, but that doesn't change the fact that:

a) He elected to bump.
b) Head high contact is a likely and foreseeable outcome of the bump.

Everything points towards it being intentional.

We are living rent free in Cats supporters heads. They have a whole thread about opposition posters and the last 5 pages is all about us.

To emphasise how big a pack of scumbags they are, I suggested to them that the reason we are so angry is because not many Geelong fans/supporters/staff or even media have thought about Prestia. Some of their responses are downright pathetic.

One such example from an absolute tosser when discussing Prestia's well wishers:

Other pearlers in that thread suggest we are so obsessed with Geelong and aggressive towards them because we are envious of their sustained success (What success? 3 flags in 60 years?), and are scared of dropping off into obscurity again.

The fact of the matter is, the only reason Geelong have been up and about in finals is because their members would abandon ship if they weren't consistently making finals. Look at 2016. They don't make finals in 2015 and their membership number dropped. They need finals and "success" to keep their members coming back. They would fail and their supporters would turn on the club if they genuinely bottomed out.
Gee I hope I got a mention! ;) :p

This is where I am also of the opinion that suspensions should be X number of weeks as defined by the MRO + the number of weeks of whatever the victim is out for.

Say for example, Prestia is out for 3 weeks and Stewart gets 4, it would be 4 weeks for the act, and 3 for the result.
Could also implement that the oppo side can’t use the medical sub to substitute the carded player so they are down a rotation on the bench as well as losing the player out of the game

But they still have access to the medical sub for any other player that you would use the medical sub for

Absolutely. Goes without saying. It is a medical sub. Used only for injured players, not thugs and snipers.

I had the same thought. Could open up a can of worms etc. They just need to be ****en fair dinkum about the punishments. No one wants to see players suspended for minor indiscretions, but nearly 99% of supporters would be happy to see a bump like this get 5, 6, or even 7 weeks.

Credit to David King - he said the media had overlooked the most importnt thing in this whole affair and that was Dion Prestia and his health. He also said people were fixated on Tom Stewart being a 'nice guy' but what he did was shocking. He asked everyone to focus on Dion as he was the victim in all of this. He called for a very heavy penalty.
Do you have a link?

Nothing at all on Prestia but he said he stills feels terrible for it and "I did what I did to try and help the team"
That says intentional a good big city lawyer would hang him

Credit where it's due...

Wheatley did say this morning that the AFL should just ignore Christian's MRP grading and go into the tribunal and say
"we're not satisfied with the MRP recommendation. We're grading it as intentional"

In other words... Christian is a fool and we can't comprehend how incompetent he is.

Of course this would only work if 'the fix' isn't in, and I suspect it is.

David King - who's been spot on all along said "If that's not intentional, I don't know what is. What do you have to do for it to be intentional?"
RT said it’s not intentional though…

Tom Stewart going to be talking on the news tonight.. FMD he must be doing it real tough.. The only news about him should be how long he's going to be lying in the bed he made for himself
But he is such a nice guy and totally out of character and is extremely remorseful

Cats are our Bitches and know we are going to be the reason they dont get a flag
Cant wait until next time we play them.

I wonder if they are still trying to win Dangerfield a flag and will they play him with the Deledio calf's

i like it...... i also think that because stewart missing weeks and will be available for finals, its an actual disadvantage to us, so the club should have the choice of one less for stewart in actual games.... but he misses the next game rich v geelong, i have held this idea for a long time. the punishment must fit the crime and the victim/s compensated.
