I thought his defensive pressure and 1 percenters were amazing. He probably saved a few goals with his second efforts and hard working. Really deserves to keep his spot:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Always impressed with the young Toov'. *raises glass in his honour*

Was I dreaming, or did he get boo'd a lot today? Or was that the Collingwood 'TOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEE' chant in action?

Big fan of toovey, works really hard with what he's got.

Also love that whenever he gets the ball you hear "TTTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" from the stands

It was the chant, unfortunately it sounds alot like booing

I was saying "Boo-urns".

Good game by Toovey, on top of his game last week which was possibly the best I think he's ever played. :thumbsu:

Hope he knows the fans were saying TOOOOOOOOOOVES.

I will admit, i was wrong about him, only the second time i have been wrong though :p thought Julian Rowe would captain Collingwood one day..

I actually thought he was one of the worst yesterday (and I've been a longtime fan and supporter of old Poss), but maybe it was my tension during the game mixed with his generally awkward nature that led to that perception.

thought this was one of his better games, but did a couple errors make ,ade up for it straight away (interfering with swans lead and getting it back and handballing to sidebottom (?) )

I know what you mean there.
When th Blues made a run in the second and third quarters I was going berserk.

As well as having an impact with posession and rebound 50's I barely noticed his opponent.

Where once he was good a restricting his opponent, he is starting to add alot more run and possesion into his game. He really is growing with confidence and from reading the article last week on him his major issue clearly is his self belief. When he takes the game on and backs himself he is a good player!

While I love the fact he isn't as indecisive as he was which has clearly got him in trouble in the past, he still lacks composure. Although it is developing I noticed on a few occasions he unecessarily kicks the ball to a risky contest when he clearly had time to wait for a better option to appear.

Im loving the TOOOOOVEEESSSS chant . . . Keep the good work up tooves!

Tooves knows it's not booing. I read an article a few months ago and he mentioned that the first time he heard it, he couldn't work out why the fans were booing him. But his team mates told him thay were vocalising "Tooves".

He may not be graceful, but he must be one of our fittest players. He runs all day and never seems wrecked.:thumbsu:

Wasn't there an article a while back about Toovey thinking he was getting booed whenever he had posession? :D

There was that moment, in the 2nd quarter I think, where Judd broke free forward of the centre circle, streaming towards Carlton's 50, and Toovey gave chase. He just got a hand on Judd as he kicked, and I remember thinking to myself, 'No one else would've caught him.' So maybe it's time I put my hand up and say, 'I like the wide-eyed bastard!'
