Some other things I found interesting (this is not including last night's statistics which haven't been updated yet)

Ben Cunnington's ToG for the entire season is below 70% (68.6%) - the only players lower are Taylor Garner, Kayne Turner and Farren Ray

At the other end of the scale, Drew Petrie's ToG is 95%, the most of any player on our list

Jack Ziebell had 87 clangers, the most out of anyone on our list by 20. Add last night's game and he goes to 91, which is 17.6% of his total disposals for the entire year

In 14 and 11 games respectively, Jarrad Waite and Trent Dumont had more tackles (56 & 54) than Firrito, Brown, Thompson, Atley, Tarrant, MacMillan and Mullett

Jack Ziebell had the exact same amount of clearances as he did inside 50s

The following players had a positive contested possessions:uncontested possessions ratio:
Ben Cunnington (248:198)
Andrew Swallow (244:194)
Ben Brown (123:115)
Todd Goldstein (155:128)
Mason Wood (65:53)
Jarrad Waite (110:104)
Majak Daw (53:26)
Kayne Turner (8:7)

Majak Daw was clearly our second best ruck option. 68 hitouts to Brown's 52 from 13 less games. He took 20 contested marks in 8 games, good enough for 4th in the team

Daniel Wells had 20 goal assists in 18 games. The next closest was Harvey with 14, then Thomas with 13. Add on last night's games (Dumont 3, Cunnington 2, Thomas, Anderson, Harvey & Swallow 1) and Dumont ends up with 13, good enough for 4th overall from 12 games

Brent Harvey, Shaun Atley & Jamie Macmillan had 113 bounces between them. The rest of the list had 66 bounces between them

Petrie, Harvey, Gibson, Ziebell, Tarrant, Atley & MacMillan played 22 games. That's 7 players. The rest of the comp:
Adelaide 7
Brisbane 2 (go Basti!)
Carlton 6
Collingwood 3
Essendon 2
Fremantle 6
Geelong 6
Gold Coast 1
GWS 5
Hawthorn 6
Melbourne 4
Port 4
Richmond 4
St Kilda 8
Sydney 7
West Coast 7
Western Bulldogs 4

We used 34 players across the season. Richmond used 41 (!) and Adelaide, kissed on the dick with injuries, played 29 players throughout the entire season

IMO, Affirmed a few things:
- dumonts ball use when in space is class.
- ziebell won't change. His clearances yave always consisted of hacks forward without any presence of danger. That's even with a greater percentage of uncontested possessions. I'm sorry but jack is a seriously over rated player.
-66 bounces between 31 players over the course of the season. A sad indictment of our speed stocks, as well as confidence at an individual level. Game plan also contributes to this factor, our slow game style is outdated.
-Thomas needs help with forward half pressure, I can see glimmers of an extreme pressure player in Anderson becoming useful. Get him kicking some footballs though for Christ sake.
-injuries have been maiming, but the players who didn't get injured and played all games are important cogs in the Scott team.
-put a fork in brown the ruckman, don't waste time practicing, too good a player to be thrown into the ruck.

Good work FG.

There are some telling statistics in there and plenty that will just confuse things.

The ones that stick out the most:
Majak's contested marks & hitouts = should have played more games.
Dumont's assists & tackles = classy enough and can still do an attacking or defensive midfield role. Put him on a treadmill over the pre season however looking at it honestly he probably should be in Swallow's spot come next year.

The lack of tackles across the board is a problem - a massive one. I don't think it's a lack of want, it is a fitness issue. Our poor handballs and disposal all year have killed us - again I think that is mostly fitness.
