Some huge games to determine top 4 and top 8

GWS v Richmond
Melbourne v Geelong
Port v Bulldogs

etc

Bombers are home, surely they beat both suns and pies?
I think giants will beat us this week and then have blues last rd so they are the other side I think will get in.
Tigers form hasn’t been good enough to think they can beat the giants this week so that rules us out.
Eagles might beat freo this week…. Just… but you’d expect lions to take care of them the week after at the Gabba. The rest have no chance.

top 4 is set just shuffle of spots with the carrot of finishing top giving you a first up win against port.

I would have said Richmond v GWS is basically a wildcard final for 8th spot but then the Bombers knock off the Dogs and are now in the box seat! Giants can get in by knocking us off though.

The Bombers should be strong favourites now, and the Eagles will beat Freo so it will come down to if they can beat the Lions.

I don't know, the bombers fans here are rightly pessimistic. After their best win for a while they could easily just c*ck it up against the suns.

Bombers look the goods and will be an exciting 7/8th team if they get there. Tigers/Giants mini GF this week.

Bombers in box seat.
and winner of GWS v Richmond.

Everything the Bombers need to happen would be the favoured outcome with punters.

Bombers beat Suns and Pies.
Lions beat Eagles at the GABBA.
Tigers don’t beat either of the Giants and Hawks by a big margin.

Anything can happen and I’d expect a few curve balls to be thrown though so who knows.

Bombers are playing the best football of teams outside the top 6 and deserve a spot

But **** knows what will happen the way the season has played out

Bombers will earn their spot if they can do what other sides haven't been able to which is best the sides they are heavy favourites to beat.

Until that, no one deserves anything. FWIW I think they will wrap it up fairly comfortably.

A nice little 8 point win by your Tigers will do nicely this weekend thanks 👍

I agree Bombers are playing the best. But destiny is in their hands. Win the next two, as they should, and they should make it. I can't see both WCE and GWS winning both of theirs.

IU reckon Brisbane & Sydney would be feeling very nervous if they drew Essendon in the first final

At home ? The 5th place side will have choice of venue and you would think if it were the Swans they would not be choosing MCG or Marvel. More like GMHBA.
I bet they don’t get a say in it. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was played in Brisbane or Perth but I’d be staggered if it was played in Geelong.
Anyway, we are far from home, us being favourites in both scares me, we are just as likely to lose both as win them

So Eddie reckons the prefinals bye could go this year. That would be massive for West Coast. Surely Brisbane would have to rest everyone in round 23 if cant get top 4. If thats the case GWS winning Friday night will pretty much close off the 8.

If GWS win Friday Essendon is in trouble. GWS really should win both of their games. Get a lot of players back this week and we are playing terrible. They will beat Carlton in round 23.

West Coast will beat Fremantle this week and I think are a decent chance against Brisbane, assuming Brisbanes top 4 hopes are gone and have nothing to play for. Brisbane would also love to get West Coast at home in the first week of finals. That would prob happen if they lose that game (6 v 7)

I am only going on the pretext that the Swans are in Melbourne and if they want to reward the highest placed side as they will do with the likely top 4 then Swans would want GMHBA. Damn sure it would not be played in Perth if Swans were to play Eagles.

don't Essendon make it if they win both (which they should) regardless?

I said the “dream”. Didn’t say it was a likely outcome. It you could clearly see how it is in the realm of possibilities.

The media has intimated that finals may be played interstate in front of fans as well which could see West Coast get play at home for an away game.

On 7News Tom Browne said based on the current the ladder week1 finals could look like
Dees v Port - Optus
Dogs v Cats - Optus
Brisbane v GWS - Optus
Swans v Eagles - Adelaide Oval
