Lewis's manager approached Melbourne and Lewis seems keen.
Stevens reckons Lewis's management approached Melbourne.

Both Geelong and Richmond have said Deledio is open to a move down the highway, and on Wednesday night rumours circulated about another club becoming involved: the Western Bulldogs.
Those rumours are yet to be verified by anyone in the Dogs, Tigers or Deledio camps, but that didn’t stop Phil in Murrumbeena calling radio station SEN on Thursday to float the trade of the century.
“I’ll be very disappointed if we lose Lids but I understand the way professional sport is going,” he told hosts Francis Leach and David Schwarz.
“The big one that no one’s talking about that will happen ... it will be a straight swap — the Bont for Lids.
“The Bont’s always barracked for Richmond and he only stopped barracking for Richmond when he (was drafted).”
“Deledio for the Bont? You’d throw in Jack Riewoldt — you’d be throwing in at least another couple (of players). That ain’t happening,” Schwarz said.

I'm not assuming anything but I'm not sure how potting the guy adds much to the discussion other than making you seem petty.
And that's also fair enough.Yeah, fair enough. I liked him a lot but that was before he spent a fair bit of time down at VFL level. Didn't love what I heard and saw.
Most of us saw what he was offering at VFL but not too many are in a position to hear much. Care to elaborate on this at all mate?Yeah, fair enough. I liked him a lot but that was before he spent a fair bit of time down at VFL level. Didn't love what I heard and saw.
THIS.So is this what Tom Boyd was meant to do to us?
Not in my opinion - similar was said about Boyd years ago. And it's not something that I actually imagine would ever happen, but I would be all for it. Dreaming though, obviously. You are kidding us. He is cooked
The funny thing about Koby is that he left WCE for more opportunity and now he leaves the Dogs for more opportunities at some stage in his life he will realise that he is an average second tier/depth footballerwas stevens ever tried as a flanker (either forward or back)? i watched a couple of his games and he doesnt seem to really get beaten in 1on1's for someone of his size so was wondering if you campaignersp) thought he would excel more as a wellingham esq player or a rhys palmer type player
Probably better if he doesn't elaborate if it's damaging to kobyMost of us saw what he was offering at VFL but not too many are in a position to hear much. Care to elaborate on this at all mate?

I agree with the crux of what you said and Koby does run hard, but he's not particularly quick by afl standards imo.The guy had a shit end of season and all of a sudden he's a headless chook with the kicking skills of Nick Bruton, softer than Jordan McMahon and the running ability of Scotty West post career ending injury.
He's not and probably never will be a superstar but he's a tough, inside/outside mid with good pace, decent skills and some awareness issues. Basically he's what I hope Jong can become.
That is contrary to the article on the afl website written well after that
Had a feeling that would likely be the case. Thanks anyway.Yeah, probably said enough. Good luck to him.
He left west coast for more opportunity and got it for the best part of four years. It's hard to see how that wasn't a successful move. He has been overtaken in the league's deepest midfield, so he's moving for more opportunity again. Why trash his ability and then act like he's doing something wrong by attempting to maintain his career? Should he just quit because he's not an elite player? The funny thing about Koby is that he left WCE for more opportunity and now he leaves the Dogs for more opportunities at some stage in his life he will realise that he is an average second tier/depth footballer
... or that he thinks he's been overtaken by others in our midfield, and he wants to play afl football. When he moved to us, it was clearly a good idea. He's been best 22 for the vast majority of his four years here. Things have changed recently though- our club is now the hardest place to get a game as an inside midfielder. There's nothing wrong with him choosing to go somewhere where he can play regularly at the top level.Had a feeling that would likely be the case. Thanks anyway.
As much as i like him, choosing a third club in a short number of years instead of backing himself in probably shows that his headspace isn't quite where it should be.
Hawks are into Webb if they can't get Jaeger. Don't expect anything to come of it, but yeah.
Essendon on their knees praying to God and Allah it doesn't get done.Hawks are into Webb if they can't get Jaeger. Don't expect anything to come of it, but yeah.
Yep he was good over the finals without being dominant but you can tell he had listened to the coaches and become more of a team playerAny that understand football knows he had a solid finals series, didn't become the selfish player trying to break 5 tackles per time and looked to handball or kick it to set team mates up. draw in the defender then bang handball it off.
Can't wait for next year and see him have a full pre-season.
