JMac could well have opened with something like, "Pick 11 must be included in any deal for Stringer." Hence, the Dogs have asked for pick 11. I don't think there's enough information to just assume that a straight swap is the deal we've proposed.
The Rob Kerr media conference has been posted on Trade Radio (https://omny.fm/shows/trade-radio/rob-kerr-on-nab-afl-trade-radio ) and he was asked by a journo whether the Bulldogs asked for pick 11 and Kerr laughed and said "What do you reckon? Of course they did."

Ricky Nixon is a massive flog, but credit where credit is due, he sure could get overs for most of his stars he looked after. Smug creep also tipped us for the flag before the season last year.

Speculation or something you've heard?

Heard. Haven’t caught up with today, sorry, but I know there was interest this morning.

Trade Radio is just a bunch of people with no real idea about list management barracking for their favourite teams.

Like the radio version of Bigfooty

He's not coming to us. So the point is moot.
But it's a myth that JJ ever butchered the ball also my point was that he used his pace Impey doesn't.

JJ used to run himself into trouble because he lacked confidence to break the lines. Obviously he has overcome that fear.

Lions want Lobbe and Campbell?

Martin on the move?
Not sure Lobbe is going to Brisbane? Is that a thing?

Not confirmed, there was just some talk of it potentially happening.
PORT Adelaide is willing to pay a portion of Matthew Lobbe’s contract to help him find a new home, with the Queensland clubs showing interest in the ruckman.
The Brisbane Lions head the clubs interested in Lobbe, who is contracted for the next two years on close to $500,000 a season — a deal that was struck after his career-best 2014 season — while the Suns also have discussed Lobbe as an option.

Brisbane is not committed to acquiring Lobbe and the Lions are likely to weigh up the cost — both in financial and draft terms — before taking the next step. The Suns have Jarrod Witts as their first ruck, so it is less clear whether Lobbe could force his way into the best 22.

A random word chosen today from dogwatch's Draft dictionary:

Schachenfreude n. The fervent hope that some other club pays overs for the spud that your club has been linked to.

Has Schache even shown a single glimpse that he's capable of being an AFL player?

I'd rather not spend good salary on a bust.

Agreed and we'll need a high draft pick as well.

Brisbane ain't going to let him go for a 2nd round draft pick despite what some people may think.

First year. Had a strong year for a first year kpf. Much like Liam Jones and now Tom Boyd, he hasn't had the support and tutelage from a seasoned key forward (coaching staff not included). I think schache's first year was Jono brown's last.

If Tom Campbell leaves, it'll only be through a good/overs trade deal. Geelong trading a pick in the 20's for Rhys Stanley kind of trade.

We have him on a very cheap salary cap deal relative to what he's worth which means that even for a solid backup he's a good value allowing us to, you know, go out and get free agents. Would be kind of silly to waste that good salary cap value for next year unless it's worth it massively for what we have on draft day.

I think they have less bargaining power here than many think. He's recently contracted, yes, but reading between the lines, this is a guy who has been struggling for quite some time and they worked hard to convince him to re-sign. He goes on holiday and when he comes back the club decide it's in their best interests to move him on. That, to me, suggests that for the welfare of all parties, he needs to be out the door (sounds familiar). I don't think there's a way he's a Lion next season and if that's true he may as well be uncontracted.

I certainly don't think a second gets it done. I don't think his value is quite as high as it may be perceived, however.

If we really did say Stringer for #11, it would be rubber stamped by now.

At least one club has asked for more & it better ******* be us.

This is a good point but it assumes that Essendon are willing to part with a pick that high. Stringer was a no show to sponsorship meetings with Cotton On and Morris finance in Geelong. He also refused to answer calls from Geelong as to why he missed these meetings making them filthy with him. This suggests he's only dealing with Essendon now and they can get him at a lower cost.

Essendon might try and offer a pick between 19-30 and call our bluff on taking him back next season. If they aren't taking pick 11 already it suggests Stringer has already told them he's not going back to the Dogs and any remuneration they want to give us is them just being nice.

I don't wish injury on anyone and i wouldn't on stringer, but i hope he doesn't get close to his potential for those drug cheats

Good source?

Why would Stringer rock up for Geelong sponsorship duties when he hasnt signed for them? It would be completely inappropriate.
Maybe they wanted to talk to him about representing their names in an appropriate manner. Wonder how our sponsors are feeling?

Who knows what will happen when Dodoro is involved. But if Stringer had no back story that pick 11 would be a fair deal, given he hasnt lit it up this year. I remember the media saying he is the next Gary Ablett!
His rooting around really has cost himself and the Bulldogs.
I think the Bulldogs need to act quick or they will loose the chance to get pick 11 with GC & GWS lurking and willing to do a 3 way deal if needed.
To give up pick 26 & Stringer to get 11 is pretty good. But GC might do Saad + 19 for 11. Hence why bulldog dont want to mess around.
Going to the draft with 9 & 11 is pretty good. Anyways lets all hope its a quick deal!
