Sorry, had a family issue. I check bigfooty to escape that s**t.

Bailey's manager was posturing. Said that theres been no real offer from the dogs and that he has told Bailey that "he could play in just about any side with his skills if he chose to leave the dogs". Also that theres been a large amount of interest from other clubs. Lastly and most importantly he said that its up to the dogs if they want to keep him.

Was super weird imo.

Why would there have been an offer he has done sfa for 3 years.

Take the last two weeks out and the best he was getting from any team was a rookie spot or the Suns maybe having a sniff.

They are not lining up for Bailey Dale who has straddled to get a game in a mid table team.

Ben King was the player I wanted from last year's draft, ahead of Bailey Smith. Not to say I would trade Smith for King now, but I'd give up our first rounder + more in a heartbeat.

Besides Petrucelle, some outlets are saying we're very into Alex Keath from Adelaide. I certainly wouldn't say no, but he likely won't be cheap.

I think with regards to Keath we would have to do some real due diligence.

Really only have a very small sample to go by. Not sure if he's played 30 games over the last 3 years and majority in one year. He's 27 already.

How was he going in SANFL when not playing in the seniors?

Thanks mate, appreciate the info. Hope things are ok at home.

If it's up to us, and Dale keeps playing the way he is, we will keep him. Thanks, Bailey's manager!

It's well worth noting the injury Dale had is a fairly serious one to an AFL player. The foot injury he sustained in some cases finishes careers of players.

True and he has no doubt surprised me in the last two weeks with his goal output but in a weird way I don’t think either game has been a brilliant one for him.

His first half against the saints was poor and his last half today was basically unseen.

if he keeps hitting the scoreboard then his value obviously rises but all I was saying is to date he has done nothing to expect us to be crawling over ourselves to resign him and I’m fairly sure before the last two weeks he wasn’t high on any other teams lists of must gets.

Always had the talent just seemed the penny wouldn’t drop and hopefully it has now

Don't disagree with you.

With Dale I guess I want to see more when he's not hitting the scoreboard like he has in last couple of weeks and finding consistency in that.

All clubs including the Dogs will be looking for players who have that something about them or a skill set they require but are currently at the fringes. Dale is one of those.

Melbourne have spoken to him but that was more seeing what his contract situation was like. I'd imagine he will sign a one year deal to stay at the dogs

Sounds like he needs a new manager. Not a good look when he goes saying crap like that in public, does nothing to convince the Dogs they'd want him any more than they currently do. Makes Dale look like a disloyal type of person, which I doubt is really the case

I know Carlton has put a lot of work into him too so it might take a 2 or 3 year deal for us to keep him.

I think we should target Lachie Henderson as cheap and experienced option in defence. While nothing special he would be a solid option who uses the ball well out of defence and can also swing forward. He is 29 and out of contract so shouldn't cost us much pick wise and salary, can't get a game with Geelong at the moment.

Sounds a lot like the Mitch Wallis scenario, and the same manager.

I’m not sure Easton stays in the side when he doesn’t have the captaincy. Let’s be honest he’s been very ordinary this year and others like Bailey Williams have gone ahead of him in my eyes
Id rather Williams in the side then Wood

What’s with the Wood hate? Having a good season imo. He was horrid last year.

I don’t know if I’d say he’s had a good year, he has been much better in the last month or so, very poor (imo) at the start of the season....

That's true but he was being asked to do more than he was equipped to do.

He has played better since Trengove was brought back to take on the big blokes, leaving Wood to play more in the role that made him AA in 2015.
