A little surprised we didn’t keep Campbell for depth after roughy left.

Here is the unsurprising thing.
The afl. BY introducing a preseason and mid season draft have slashed 1 ruckman off every Afl list. Clubs happy to go in with 2/3 rather than traditional 4/5. All because they know if the u know what hits the fan they can wait a few weeks and grab the best an established big man playing state league footy!

No need to carry a ruck like Campbell anymore. See who the best state leaguer is and grab them

With Honey and Campbell delisted and upgrading of Gowers and Roarke, I am not sure how many we need to add in. Is it 7 plus upgrades plus 2 rookies?

If So with the three you mention we have likely something like:

Hayes, mid sized forward, small forward (Cavarro?) and project ruckman? We also may go looking for a big bodied KPD - though King may be the long term plan.

What do we think about Schoenmakers? Gets us some experience and flexibility?

Good decision by the club. Keen for draft night now. Also with 10 gone and so far only 2 in, I’d expect us to pick up a DFA of some sort. I’m usually a pessimist but I’m getting a good vibe again. Similar to end of 14 but without the big fish and spotlight on us. Obviously more off field stability as well.

Very happy we didn't give Honey another year, hard worker, good kid etc, but we have some nice draft picks to use now as well as a few interesting DFAs floating around we could have a look at. Please please please let the next announcement be Libba on a 2 year deal.

GWS could do worse than picking up Campbell for a year as ruck depth. Think he'd be really good for them with their thin stocks.

I’d expect us to add pick 7, West (pick 27 used), Khamis and then pick 32. The 9th spot either goes to someone like Menzel or pick 45 or 63 depending on the Khamis bid.

Does Menzel play in front of Dickson? I'm not certain he does...and both are prone to injury.

You can't play both.

Could use as break glass in case of emergency Dickson is somewhat injury prone

I think the assumption is that Gowers and Lynch are upgrades as they have 2 year deals but Roarke stays on the rookie list - it was never specifically stated though.
