Which Walker are we talking about, and where did that rumour come from?

It’s not a rumour, just a couple of people have mentioned him as someone that should be a target for us.

Don’t think we’d be keen on an aging racist myself though

AFL site has the Blues pondering a contract for Caleb Marchbank:
Promising defender Caleb Marchbank and former first-round pick David Cuningham are among those with expiring deals, having barely played any footy over the past two seasons as they each recover from respective ACL injuries.

It's understood the Blues would be keen to retain both players, having each shown significant potential before getting hurt, but will make assessments based on their long-term fitness before entering into contract negotiations.

He has an injury history that's pretty tough to read, but if the Blues lowball him on contract length because of that I'd be open to trying to pry him away with (slightly) more security. He's a damn good KPD, and these are the kind of risks you need to take when you don't have a lot of cap space/assets.

PS: the article also has two Vic clubs circling Lachie Sullivan. One club enquired about him for the mid-season draft but he was ineligible.

We are one of the teams keen on Sullivan

I sincerely hope you're taking the P155 VD, or my sarcasm detector is broken
Why would you think he's taking the piss? We take one vanilla Footscray mid each year.

In all seriousness, we'd definitely be looking at drafting him (rightly or wrongly) unless another club snapped him up first.

“Rory was named to a club two weeks ago, I’m not going to say which club it was, but it wasn’t true.” This is coming from Colin Young
Either Young is lying or Freo are trying to drive up Lobb's trade value. Journalist's are known to lie but they are clearly getting some strong information from somewhere.

VIC CLUB NOT KEEN ON LOGUE, KEY HILL MEETING LOOMS

Griffin Logue’s manager insists he hasn’t received a call from the Western Bulldogs about his client, despite loose recent links between the club and the Docker.

And Colin Young has flagged he’ll be flying to Sydney in coming weeks to meet with Giants forward Bobby Hill amid speculation he’ll again request a trade away from the Giants.

The versatile Logue, who’s out of contract at season’s end, has been linked to a move east after Victorian clubs reportedly made inquiries about the top-10 pick.

In a recent Herald Sun list analysis, Logue was one of three rival-club players identified the Dogs will, or should, be looking at as he’d provide strong key-defensive depth.

But in an interview on SEN WA, Young insisted Logue hadn’t received any official interest from the Dogs.

The Dogs 'have a whole heap of nothing'

“You read some of the articles in Melbourne and Griffin Logue was going to the Western Bulldogs — like Griffin Logue and the Western Bulldogs never discussed that. The Bulldogs have never rang me about Griffin Logue,” Young told SEN WA.
“But because there‘s an obvious choice — and the media are sometimes very good at what they do, because they’ll analyse a list and they’ll say: ‘Well, the Bulldogs are looking for a backman, or so-and-so’s looking for a forward-ruck.’
“The greatest thing about Griffin Logue is he can play on Charlie Cameron … he can play forward now and he can play back — he beat (Jeremy) Cameron in Geelong — so he can play in multiple positions.
“During a game you can switch him all over the place and put him on a small, so there’s lot to like about Griffin Logue.”

Wasn’t Marchbank drafted with the pick we traded to the Giants in the Tom Boyd trade?

Feels like fate - bring him home!! 😂

Sullivans not even great at VFL level lmao- beyond average

If we do draft him, there needs to be a royal commission into our recruitment team. Absolutely no need for that type of player with our list.

I refuse to believe that we aren't sniffing around Griffin Logue. Would suit us to a tee.

Won't be the panacea back there but it's a start

Really depends on price for mine - I just don’t see what features he has to his game he’s just so bland. Average size if not undersized, not really great one on one, markings okay without being great, footskills probably on par with Gards & O’Brien.

I really just don’t see any stand out qualities- he’s definitely an upgrade on what we’ve got but I’m not sure that’s going to justify his cost, which will be quite expensive considering his situation imo
