I'll clarify. Didn't mean we should expect a KPD, Franklin and a first rounder directly. Just mean we should be looking at a clean out of the players going nowhere and giving us nothing and actually being smart and targeted about our drafting/trading.

Problems in defence - get a young developing KPD.

Problems up forward - get a proven CHF that's kicked 1000 goals

Lost our first round picks the last few years - keep this year's one or better yet get another one

The "deadwood" you mention have played a combined 56 games this year at an average of almost 10 games played. "Clearing out" these guys would just destroy our already lacking depth.

You are going to be disappointed.

I assume the contract of JJ being up and being hugely reduced will help (we will save 250-300k here). Wallis and Stefan Martin would be on around 650-700k collectively too.
