If his willing to go to port, they wil probably have to compensate us fairly as west coast would put a bid if they are prepared to do for rankine.Port fans pretty confident they have Dunkley going by their board.
Worth mentioning that Port don't hold a 2nd round pick at the moment, so their only currency is pick 8 and a couple of 3rd round picks. They should however get some compensation for Amon, possibly end of 1st round.
If he goes there it's extremely unlikely that Dunkley would net us pick 8, so without any other prior pick trades you'd think we'll receive that compo pick and probably not much more.

I think Amon is more likely than not to receive an end of 1st round pick, but we'll see. And I'd personally expect Dunkley's market value to be somewhere in the low-mid teens, as much as we probably value him higher than that. Very happy to be wrong though.Amon won’t get an end of first round pick. Second round pick at best. Bergman might get them a decent pick, IF they add the Amon pick to it.
Port will have to offer their future first IF the refuse pick 8.
I think pick 6 is fair value but apparently I am overvaluing Dunks.
West needs midfield time, so allowing Dunkley to explore he market is the right call.
There's a rumour around Port think they might get Wanganeen-Millera from Saints and bend them over as well despite the fact he is contracted.I think Amon is more likely than not to receive an end of 1st round pick, but we'll see. Additionally, if we're dealing with Port alone, we might not achieve what we think he's worth given he's uncontracted and a deal will need to get done if he requests a trade.
I'm not saying Port are going to "bend us over", but we may not hold many tools at the negotiation table so I think any hopes of a top 10 pick are far from likely. There's a rumour around Port think they might get Wanganeen-Millera from Saints and bend them over as well despite the fact he is contracted.
They can't get everyone
Then they run the risk of Adelaide taking him in the PSD.I'm not saying Port are going to "bend us over", but we may not hold many tools at the negotiation table so I think any hopes of a top 10 pick are far from likely.
This. Should be able to get more than enough good deliver inside 50 with the likes of Bont, Macrae (best deliverer inside 50 in the comp) & Libba. Yeah the likes of Baz & Adzy are more often than not going to slam it on the boot at full pace but that’s okay every team does that.Coaching plays a part in that, as does list management. If you have players who can’t execute the coaches plan you either need players who can or you need a new plan.
What leverage do Port have? Zero.I'm not saying Port are going to "bend us over", but we may not hold many tools at the negotiation table so I think any hopes of a top 10 pick are far from likely.
Without knowing all of his circumstances, it's probably a bit much to call any move really stupid. Then they run the risk of Adelaide taking him in the PSD.
He'd really be stupid going to SA when his partner will probably be in another state next year come July
What leverage do we have if he requests a trade? What leverage do Port have? Zero.
Pick 8 or nothing, Dunks is absolutely worth a top 10 pick and we won’t be accepting less, pretty confident on that.
C4, whose mail is often impeccable, has Amon getting a pretty massive contract (>$700k base).Amon won’t get an end of first round pick. Second round pick at best.
Just as much as PortWhat leverage do we have if he requests a trade?
Man whose paying that for AmonC4, whose mail is often impeccable, has Amon getting a pretty massive contract (>$700k base).
It reminds me of the long drawn out negotiations we had with Brian Lake who ended up staying.I must be the only one who is still confident in retaining Dunks

That would be a disaster. Surely he’s worth pick 8?Worth mentioning that Port don't hold a 2nd round pick at the moment, so their only currency is pick 8 and a couple of 3rd round picks. They should however get decent compensation for Amon, possibly end of 1st round.

He’s out of contract. If he nominates them … well you can guess the rest. What leverage do Port have? Zero.

Hawks apparently. That's what I want to know, Amon is good but not 700k p/a good.
