Plenty of holes in St Kilda's team, I am sure he can fill one of them.

Not sure saints actually do have many holes in the list. Pretty well balanced across the park.

They’re mainly missing genuine top line talent to round it all out.

Can’t say I’m a fan but let’s hope he proves me wrong. Obviously crying out for a good winger so maybe he can be the guy.

Interestingly his pre-draft profile raves about his damaging disposal - Oskar Baker

And his predraft highlights package is pretty good - Draft prospect: Oskar Baker

To be honest his disposal looks very loopy and not at all damaging from his highlights so I’m not really surprised that hasn’t translated well to AFL but who knows maybe still just scratching the surface of what he’s capable of? Can obviously run and likes to take the game on which I like.

We might not be planning on using it for the SSP and instead saving it for the mid-season draft.

Now we just need mid season trading/movement period.

Makes me wonder if we see him playing primarily a defensive role. Could also see him playing as the +1 at the contest.

Personally I wouldn’t be a fan of mid season trading, there would be too many loyalty issues and players looking to jump ship away from teams that might be struggling.

I wouldn’t mind it with some serious limitations, just off the top of my head but something like have to be out of contract EOY, not in top 25% of earners, played less than 3 games in first half of season.

I don’t think anyone would want to see best 22 players changing teams mid season, but could be cool to pick up fringe/role players mid season etc

If we wanted Montgomerie so much we could've taken him in the National Draft. We passed at least once.

The other two main list spots were for Buku and Sweet upgrades. We couldn't use them.
