I Know its only June but who is an option to use as trade bait and who should we go and chase.
Heres what i think.

Trade bait
T. Longmuir
D.Woods
Clive (if anyone would take him)
Thornton
Cunninghan

Trade Options
Josh Carr
Dom Cassisi
Richard Hadley
Tyson Stenglein (he wants out or Adelaide but wants to play with Chad Fletcher apparently)

What do u guys think?

If you've ever been fishing, you'll know that the point of 'bait' is to lure the fish. Consequently, you don't use bait that no fish is going to touch.

With the possible exception of Woods, no other club is going to want any of your trade bait. You'll need to come up with players that other clubs might want.

Which club in their right mind would want Clive or Cunningham? They are delist material.

Woods has a lot of upside and I'm sure a lot of clubs will be interested. He needs to grow some balls though but the talent is definitely there. I'd keep him, but wouldn't be dissapointed to see him go if we got something decent in return.

No way I'd trade Thornton because right now his value is a LOT lower than how good I think he will be.

T. Longmuir will most likely be traded.

Mention of quality there as trade options and below par for trade bait.
Thornton and Cunningham will be delisted.
D Woods is going nowhere, he is the x factor of our team, as he could be anything.
T Longmuir will definitely be traded and as I see it either Simmonds or J Longmuir will be up for trade as well.
Wouldnt mind Medhurst traded either but that may be too much to ask for.

You really amaze me some days Sabre!!.

After all the work that has gone into making Snake a forward, I don't think he will be put on the trade market. He is progressing well, we are still to reap the full benefits of our work to transform Snake.

Medhurst, I think CC has a very high opinion of him.

Crowley, Doswell, Edgcumbe (maybe) will depart, Cunningham should and Parker will retire in style. Can't see alot of trading at the end of this season.

I agree, CC is pretty much committed to developing this list, with may be a bit of tinkering around the edges.

We either participate fully in trade week or we dont.
Putting up some players that cant get a game no our regular list for trade is pointless.
If we are to enter trade week looking to pick up a quality midfielder we need to offer quality.
My opinion is we dont need Longmuir,Sandilands and Snake.
Medhurst is arogant and in my opinion at times on the field bad for the side.
But I doubt any of them will be traded, though thats my 2 cents worth.
Carr will not be a docker if we offer the players others have mentioned.

Didn't someone mention cunningham signed a new contract just recently? If so that would preclude him from trades/delisting.

Thornton is rated too highly, he won't be delisted.

Woods could be good value in a trade but i'd rather he just start playing like he used to.

I can't see us getting Carr or any quality player unless someone accepts our first pick + a fringe player. Can't see any of our established side being shipped off.

And have Peter Bell do the ruckwork?

Sandilands is still young and learning. He will be something special.

Snake has shown more as as a tall marking forward than anyone else.

JLo is finally starting to put in some consistant efforts and has recently looked good.

Don't forget we have had a good run with injuries. Get rid of any of these blokes and our ruckman depth could start looking very average should any of the remaining get injured.

JLo in my opinion while a good player will never reach the potential he has the ablility to.
He is a little soft and only really looks good 3rd man up.
While he still has that perceived potential his trade value is high.
Plus with Simmonds and Sandilands better ruckman maybe we should trade him?
My biggest point is were either trade for Carr and what not seriously or not at all.

Thanks for making us all successful.

I searched long and hard for a quote to match yours, many famous lines from many famous people came to me but only one stuck.
"Pot Kettle Black"
If only I know who coined that phrase.......

"The noblest spirit embiggens the smallest man" - Jebediah Obadiah Zacharaiah Springfield

Im not quite sure what it means but I think it means have faith in JLo or alternatley, Schammer needs a noble spirit

The player is protected from an involuntary trade in the first year of a deal. If the player agrees, then the trade can go ahead.

Which seems a silly rule, because a player can't be traded if he refuses to anyway. He needs to sign a contract with his new team, why would he do so if he didn't want to be traded?

Exactly my thoughts.. very strange if that is in fact the wording of the rule, why bother when it was already a rule.
