I reckon 1 of 11 or 29 goes, otherwise why make the trade?
pick 11 would be unnecessary and foolish, for a 2nd ruck, no way she's worth that.
Birch 3 years older, heaps more credentialled, traded for pick 19, McKinnon wouldn't be within 10 picks of Birch.

why make the trade? we'll only take 2 picks in the draft, and we have 5 picks now. (4 picks before swap)
first 2 for draft and last 3 for 3 X trades.

yes Dallaway and Hicks have pace.
Still think someone is going to be their we want at 11 - hence doing it to get 29 which can be used. Depending on the target, wouldn't be surprise if we downgraded it again for benefit.

Is McKinnon def a solid mark is she , never seen her play , but she’s described as much. If right then she’d def be an asset to us , as we’re weak overhead and also if the other two are quick , bonus , coz we ain’t been
We are weak marking, period, not just overhead!

yeah, that's my guess as well.
the draft evens out between picks 20-40
majority of clubs would only take 2 picks for a variety of reasons.

top 1-15 are the standouts.

agreed, that's why i would love to put Gabby Seymour in the fwdline, rather than the backline.
we need her up there to replace Wakefield. marks I50 were woeful this year, especially CM.

everyone we have up there can't do the job ATM.

She just turned up in important moments when she was needed to.
The other thing is the season before Conti kicked 9-10 goals for the year with a few from Ellie.
Conti only kicked 4 till Rnd 10 and no Ellie.

If we can get Ellie back, they won’t be able to defend all the mids if someone sneaks forward

As it stands at the moment, bringing Shevlin up to a wing and Sheerin into the mids, makes Seymour essential down back. That is where I would have played the departed Hosking tbh.

Not suggesting that is in any way locked in, but we need some serious run and carry out of the backline if that plan of moving Shevlin and Sheerin up the ground prevails. That plan is also essential for the fwds to get more in50 ball.

i believe that's why we're targeting Jodie Hicks from GWS.
she runs and carries, supposed to be a good user of the ball.

we'll see, i guess, what happens with Seymour.

Adelaide playing hardball over McKinnon. Hopefully we don't flinch!

Richmond's move for Adelaide's star ruck McKinnon is also a standstill, with the two teams unable to find middle ground between the Tigers' first pick at No.11 and their second at No.29.

Richmond is also likely to part with pick No.30 to land Greater Western Sydney duo Jodie Hicks and Ally Dallaway, with the Tigers also set to secure pick No.42 as part of the transaction.

Shevlin onto the wing to launch it inside 50. Sheerin on ball and Backline of Miller, Graham, Lynch, Hicks and Peck/Cox

Dallaway 24, about the same size as Conti, a mid, and handballs way more than she kicks it. Interesting.
Hicks is 26, has some good metres gained - could be handy.

These two effectively for the difference between pick 30 and 42. Intriguing.

Hopefully Lavey is back, maybe a shuffle of her and Demps at times works as well. Both good users of the ball

Be watching Lauren Caruso and if she's picked up by another Club in the draft.

I've only see Dallaway play as a mid and in the heat of pressure so didn't always have time or space, but not overly creative as her first thought is always to dispose of the ball quickly, usually by hand, or if not clean in hands she would try to kick forward out of contest. She reminded me a bit of Brancatisano with her hands. She gets around the ground alright, so has a bit of an engine, but didn't notice a burst of speed there. As Stan said an upgrade on Kiely, Megmac and J Hosking. It's important your bottom 4 -6 players are decent players/role-players.

Your right Hicks is decent too, interesting with her meters gained because I didn't notice her get a lot of possessions, so she must make good use when she does get it. GWS has a couple of really good run and carry types in Tarni Evans and Chloe Dalton. I'd say she left it to them to be those players and didn't have the licence to leave her player.

I know, she's a 2nd ruck FFS. Kalinda Howarth traded today from Suns to pies. An all Australian and U22 All Australian, Rising star, 2 X club leading goal kicker traded to Collingwood for a 3rd and 4th round pick.

lolnorth sent Kim Rennie to the draft and picked her up there, when WB didn't agree to a trade.
we should do the same, keep pick 11 and offer pick 29, take it or leave it.

McKinnon's manager should be telling Crows "trade her or we walk to the draft, she doesn't want to return."

So now all that’s left is finding a way to please Adelaide on the Montana McKinnon trade

That's the ticket play hard ball back now that Hicks & Dallaway deal is done McKinnons manager should be contacting the Crows with our latest offer, 29 is now off the table and our offer now is pick 43

easy fix to this problem, wait until:
GC sends pick 14 to WB for Lynch.
PA send pick 4 to WB for Lamb and pick 14.

we threaten PA that we'll trade pick 11 and 43 to Crows for McKinnon and pick 18, they'll lose the SA girl Piper Window, which they won't want to happen.
UNLESS they trade pick 14 and 21 for our Pick 11 and 43.

keep pick 14 and send 21 to Crows for McKinnon.
everyone's happy.:)

I'm not her greatest fan, and some might see this as nitpicking, but it gives us an insight to what she thinks of people.... Footballers are human, not things, Kate!

We sure have plundered GWS in recent years, pity we couldn't get busy with Alyce Parker too.

Love that, could definitely see those trades work out that way. What's better do you think to give crows 43 & 49 and get McKinnon and pick 76 back and go to the draft with picks 11, 29 and 76;

or your trade, we get McKinnon and go to draft with picks 14, 29, and 49;

I've done a quick trade graphic

I thought the appropriate official to do these grabs would be a GM of women's football talent, not your Head of women's football. Maybe we don't have one?
