I have this sneeky suspicion that Fev will be sacked befor we even have a chance of trading him, we all know that he will do something again...

Tigers to pick him up in the pre season draft.

The Kreuz man, he is our Justin Westhoff.

Kreuzer as a ruckman resting in the forward line is the way to go.

If we played Kreuz as a permanent forward, it'd be a waste of his skills and ability IMO.

Still has plenty to offer the Carlton Football Club. Players with his ability do not come around very often, and when they do they are rarely 'ready made' AFL material. Young talent like Hartlett and Edwards are years away from filling the void. Unless the trade was for a top 10 pick and Ben Rutten I'd keep the Fev anyday

When he kicks a bag of 7 in the next week or three we will see who is still on the 'cut off his head' bandwagon

Yes I see your point and I agree.

But we need to look further as I seriously cant see Fev lasting the whole year out, IMHO!

He will last the year. Hopefully the club threatening his future at Carlton will be the wake up call he needs!

if he did end up at punt rd no doubt he would be made patron of the grog squad!

great player when he applies himself, heres hoping he stays off the juice!
If he is serious about playing good footy, then he will.
Seems that he's just one of those guys that finds trouble easily when he has a few drinks

Fevola will never change, and that I reckon is pretty clear. Even after we have recruited the best player in the land, a new coach, and have very much started to turn the club around off field, he still gets himself into trouble.

I have been an advocate to trade him over the past 2 trading periods, and i would still do the same thing this year. But, who will play FF. We could really rotate quite a few guys through there. O'Hailpin, Edwards, Fisher, Cloke, Hampson and Kreuzer. We'd be far less predictable going forward, and we'd most certainly have a bad influence at the club gone.

There are also some very good kids in this years draft that we could also draft should be decide to trade Fevola. McKernan (yes, Corey's brother) and Trengove from Calder, and Cornelius from Tasmania.

If he stays off the grog, as he has promised to do, then I think he will last this year at least :thumbsu:

Pretty disheartening comment (albeit an understandable one) about one of our older, quality players.

As I said, he is 27 now, and he still doesn't get it. Trade him at years end whilst he still has some value.

The club didn't suspend him... do you really think they will trade him?

I would BG. As I have said previously, he was all but at Richmond 2 years ago, and then right at the last minute, he pulled the pin. Also, there was a rumour going around that the season before the club had organised a trade to St.kilda involving Goddard and perhaps some picks, again only to have Fevola pull out at the last moment.

Exactly, spot on Bluegal. Ratts and the coaching commitee know his worth. Back in the Pagan era it was thought that Dennis had straightened Fev out, sadly hes had a relapse or two along the way. I have the utmost confidence that Fevola will change his ways after this final warning and will be a required Carlton player for many years to come.

I wonder how much truth there was to the rumour though?

Players like Brendan Fevola don't grow on trees is all I'm saying.

The question there is: Why does he need to be put on a final warning to straighten himself out? He's 27, back with Alex, and has a child. He SHOULD know better. And, whos' to say that if he does pull his head in, that he doesn't do something similar next year should the club offer him another contract.
