Bris need something the Pies want to add to 4 for Beams
Pies want a player not pick
Mullett would step into Lumumbas role easily (Pies have shown interest)
North would want decent compensation for a contracted player (best 24 if not best 22)

Brisbane have their 2nd rounder plus a raft of players to add to pick 4/5, they don't need to involve North, and Collingwood WON'T pay that much for Mullet. Absolute pipe dream to think you would get pick 24. North had enough poorish players in the finals, Mullett would have been there if he was that good.

Maybe but GWS would be sensible to trade him to the club of choice, he has been wonderful for them in a tough period. 3rd rounder is plenty.

GWS also gave him a chance to reinvigorate his career so it's a two way street.

I wonder whether something like 18 for 22 and giles would be far off the mark. Depends on draft depth I guess. If it's pretty even from 5 onwards then it may not be that bad.

In saying that - you guys need 18 for heeney so it won't happen

you're second rounder will be a very late one, once all the compo picks kick in. i reckon its around about right.

Maybe if GWS's 3rd is coming Sydney's way. Sydney will want to keep their 2nd and find the next Parker, Hannerberry at that range.

sydney wont part with their first rounder, as they will use it to get heeney as part of the scholarship bidding

just like the pies wont part with theirs

18 is gone, so lets just take that out. The one that MIGHT happen is Sydney's 2nd, for GWS 3rd + Giles. Gets GWS an earlier pick, Sydney get Giles who they would get rid of anyway after next season. Sydney could give some steaknives (one of the mids doing well in the NEAFL like Hewitt, etc)

sinclair is more of a resting ruck/fwd than a ruck. he's not a good fit for sydney given you have tippett

That is what I established. Wouldn't bother with a 2nd ruck. We need a 1st ruck badly.

Not hewett he looks like one of the better ones coming thru

Agree, I admit when I first saw the post I thought it was an Essendon supporter - so Sinclair a fit if Ryder leaves

Still, I don't think giles is an upgrade on pyke personally

he may not be, but the reality is pike is 29. they'll have to develop their ruck stocks shortly. they need depth there as well. cheap depth. giles could be it

the other thing sydney need desperately is a KPD

That team is gone for me, absolutely gone! Happy to be a Swans member this season, disappointing on Saturday but it happens, someone has to win.

I am not sure he is and if I were Sydney I'd be offering Mitchell for Ryder, but the club won't.

good to hear!!! always good to hear a WA prospect do well

Look he was a 'who the heck is that' selection, but it could turn out to be the bargain like Parker was. Surprisingly his disposal for a defender is good.

Sydney really need:

1. 1st choice ruck
2. Crumber/small forward (Elliot/Bruest/Ballentyne type)
3. KPD (Durdin or Goddard would be ideal but they won't happen. Looks to be a few in 2015)

Freo trade Clarke to Essendon (who have just lost Ryder) for pick 19
Freo to use the pick for R Mckenzie strengthening their fwd line for the eventual retirement of Pav.

Essendon would laugh at Freo, zero chance, nada, nil. Not worth pick 19.

Not the worst idea, but where are you playing him? He wants game time.

siposs is a HFF/HBF, amazing kick. weakness is his tank which burgess could get right

port have a string of young talls coming though in mason shaw and mitch harvey. downgrading size on butcher for siposs makes sense.

butcher would and could get game time at the saints given lee has been in and out of the side. i mean we've played our young back bruce as a KPF and also gwilt at times

Siposs + 4th rounder for Butcher

Good to see you back buddy...

Re Butcher, many will write him off but I definitely think he worth a shot at the right price. If we do trade for him, can he play the high CHF role to minimise his opportunities close to goal but maximise marking strength. From memory his field kicking is reasonable but he just gets the horrible yips in front of goal.

Butcher at CHF, McCartin deep, Roo & Spencer roaming around....a bit to like about that.
