Our list needs a pressure applying forward pocket. He isn't the calibre of player you'd like in your best 22 but he could be a good role player... is he better than Saad?

Saad has awful endurance numbers (as evidenced by his beep test results), if Tutt already has elite endurance and pace ... I'd say he'd get the gig.

I think he'd be quicker than Saad & younger.

177 cm is Tutt ... would want to be super quick around the ground, I like his kicking action on the run.

I dare say that if we manage to secure Tutt, that would rule out any possible trade for Blease?

For Ainslie he played mainly forward and showed his talent kicking 8 goals in the 3 finals. Jason was invited to the Draft Camp at the AIS where he displayed great speed and endurance with 2.9secs for 20m and beep test of 14.12.

Really hard to say. I reckon he's more flexible than Ellard and Army as he can run through the midfield as well as apply forward pressure and kick goals. Think Lucas but with composure and better disposal.

That's all well & good but none of those 3 are in our best 22 at the moment.

I think Tutt could be handy - I just don't see who he replaces.

I just don't want us to do a Richmond/Collingwood & get too many of these fringe types. Are they both best 22 players in round 1? I don't know.

I'll say this, the reason Jones/Tutt have struggles isn't because of their football ability. If you can sort them out mentally, they will be guns. I don't really want to see them leave because I think there's a fair chance that happens.

Barrett hinted on trade radio today that Macca coaches to develop & not to win. And that there are very senior players that are sick of it and have told the CEO.

Why are we chasing guys like Blease and Jones who coudn't get a game in their own respective teams? Moreover, these teams are lower than us on the ladder.
